Use FaceID while wearing a mask
- As I'm recording this movie, it's September 2022, and the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic is still going on, and you've probably already experienced having to use your passcode to unlock your iPhone when you're out in public and wearing a mask since Face ID, by default, doesn't work with your face partially covered, but you can enable a Face ID feature that lets you unlock your phone while wearing a mask without having to type in your passcode. To set it up on your iPhone, go to Settings, to your Face ID & Passcode. Enter your passcode. Now you do already have to have Face ID enabled in order to set this up. I do have it set up. You can see all my switches on here at the top, and if I scroll down, I'll find Face ID with a Mask. The screen just tells you a little bit about this feature, letting you know that Face ID is most accurate when it's set up for full face recognition only. So you'll only want to set up this feature…
