The CISSP exam

- The CISSP exam is a multiple-choice computer-based test that you'll take at a Pearson VUE testing center. The current version of the exam was launched in 2024. It's available in English, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. You'll have a total of three hours to take the exam. It contains between 100 and 150 questions that cover all eight domains of information security. These include security and risk management, asset security, security architecture and engineering, communication and network security, identity and access management, security assessment and testing, security operations, and software development security. The questions on the exam come in two formats. The vast majority of the questions are multiple-choice questions, providing you with a question followed by four possible answer choices, one of which is correct. Your exam may also include what ISC2 calls advanced innovative questions. These questions require you to manipulate objects on the screen, and we'll cover those more later in the course. To pass the exam, you'll need to achieve a score of at least 700 out of 1,000 possible points.
