Using SFTP in GoCoEdit on a mobile device
- [Instructor] We can also use SFTP in editors on mobile devices. An example of this on iOS is the GoCoEdit app, which is a paid app. I find this app useful for editing files on cloud servers on the go. I've opened GoCoEdit here on my iPad, and let's configure our lab server as a remote, so we can edit files stored on it. Here in the top left of the display, I'll tap the icon with the three horizontal lines, and then I'll switch to the tab labeled Remote. To add a remote server, I'll tap Manage Remotes, and then I'll tap the plus button. From the list, I'll choose SFTP/SSH. Then I'm prompted to add information about my server. So I'll do that. The first area is a nickname that I can refer to the server by. I'll call it My Server. After that, I can add the server's host name or address. And in the case of my lab server here, that's 10.0.1.100. I'll provide my username and password. If I were using a key, I could use…
