Solution: Compare mailing a letter to the TCP/IP model
(lively, energetic music) - [Instructor] In this challenge, you were asked to write two letters, address them, and post them. You were then asked to think about all of the tasks involved in getting that letter from your mailbox to the recipients. Finally, you were asked to write down each task and compare it to data delivery. I've created a list, like this. My first task was to write the letter. I associate that with the application layer and I compare it to a user writing an email. The second thing I did was address the envelopes. Again, that's a user-related application task. You might compare it to a user typing in the email address of the recipient they want the email to go to. Then I put the letter in the mailbox. Again, that's a task I have to do as a user, so it's application layer, and you might compare it to the user pressing send in their email application.
