- Threat modeling is the best way to bring structure to your security work. And it's a skillset that you'll use for the rest of your career. If you're interested in learning more, the best way to learn threat modeling is to dive in and do it. Encourage your colleagues to come together for a threat modeling exercise at the start of your next project. If they or you are a little hesitant, or if games are more your speed, I'd invite you to download and play the Elevation of Privilege Threat Modeling game. I created this game to help teach threat modeling with cards that have hints that help you threat model. This course is a great introduction to threat modeling. For a more comprehensive view, check out my book, "Threat Modeling: Designing for Security." If you want to learn more about the STRIDE threats, I have an entire book on them.
