Sulking

Sulking

- Number 15, bit like bearing a grudge, is sulking. It's similar to being a grudge because it's a victim that becomes a persecutor. So this would be, "Nope, I'm not going to speak to you "because earlier on you didn't listen to what I was saying. "Nope, I'm not going to speak to you." And so what I'm really saying is because I was a victim earlier, I'm going to persecute you now by not speaking to you. But of course, there's only one loser and that's the person who is sulking. It doesn't really work as a tactic. It's very much child mode, isn't it? You can absolutely see they're in child mode. "I'm not going to speak to you." And it comes from our childhood, a childhood behavior brought forward into adult life. But the problem with sulking is that it's quite often not effective. The recipient may not even notice that you're doing it. And if they do, they may not really care. And it's probably not going to have much effect.…
