- [Instructor] I'm going to show you how adding shapes, like this one here, can make your text much more dramatic and impactful. This is great when the whole point of a presentation is to get your message across. You can also use shapes to make your images more impactful. Let's start by creating a new blank slide at the end. I'll click all the way to the end of my presentation, and click New Slide and choose Blank. I'll start by putting in an image. Now you could do Insert Picture From File, but I'm going to set my image as a background image. And remember, we do that by going to the Design ribbon tab, clicking Format Background, choosing a Picture or texture fill and clicking Insert. I'll choose an image from a file. I'll find a picture and click Insert. Now here I can see that the man in the background is blurry. This looks like a great place to put a shape with some text over it.
