- Alright, now, before we dive into the different types of market analysis, let's take a look at where you might be able to gather data for this kind of analysis. So, in this lecture, we're going to talk about a few of the most popular and most easily accessible sources of data for the U.S. market. Now, one of the best sources of data when it comes to getting data to do broad level regional research is the U.S. Census data. You can go to the U.S. Bureau of Census and find all sorts of data, very rich data. Data that for every year they conducted a census, you can compare across the changes as well. So, you can see things about population density, population sizes and shifts, population distributions, population forecasts, age, and other demographics information such as education, family size, income, consumer spending, employment data. All of this can give you a good view of the longterm trends of the demographics in that particular area. Now, another source that's very useful as well…
