- [Instructor] Editing is an important aspect of any podcast. The days of record and release or record to tape are over. Listeners expect more and consumer grade tools enable us to do more. This is especially true of a solo podcast for a couple of reasons. It's easier for you to edit just one track. You don't need to sync audio or level your audio with the guest's audio. And you're going to want some ways to break up the long monologues so listeners don't get bored. Now, when it comes to sounding good, editing can be hard to fix a lot of issues. Gear and environment make a big difference. We don't get into that in this course but check out the other podcasting courses in the LinkedIn Learning library.
