Adding percussion with mute strokes

- Lesson two presents a very detailed description of how to do a mute stroke with your right hand. Basically what a mute stroke is strumming at the same time you'll be muting the strings so holding it down. So when I come across the strings, I'm going to strum and choke the strings with my right hand all at once. Just like that. So you can practice that a few times because we'll be doing regular strumming patterns and muting in between. Generally the mutes occur on beats two and four of the measure. Let's play example 50. One, two, three, four. (ukulele music) Okay. Let's try example 51 which is also in the key of C but we'll be adding the one, four and five chords in this progression. Here we go. One, two, three, four. (ukulele music) Let's try example 52 in the key of D and this time we're going to swing the eighths. One, two, three, four. (ukulele music)
