- This is your final tongue exercise, woo-hoo! So, what I want you to do now, since you're such an expert at sticking your tongue out, is you put your tongue out, again pulling it from the front, don't push it from the back. And you're going to use an ah, sustaining it right around your speaking voice pitch, which of course, you use more pitches than one when you talk, but you know, kind of average it out. For me, it would be, ah. Now, notice that it's not agh, I'm not trying to create a big cavern back there, like we've discussed before. (makes different gagging sounds) There's many ways to sound terrible. But it's just let your tongue lay there. Think ah. Ah. Let your vocal folds vibrate it. You don't need to condense them, you don't need to kick start them to get going, just decide you're going to say ah, and sustain it. I can sustain it often longer than other people so don't worry about how long you can sustain it. Do it until you're comfortably at the end of your breath. I don't…
