Children cannot always perceive the speed of vehicles accurately and are easily distracted by their surroundings. The FIA Region I reminds drivers to be cautious when driving in school zones. An unbelievable read but all too true for many companies, of all sizes! As Director of PlanAhead Software Solutions, my role is to offer Sales and Support to Australian manufacturing businesses by demonstrating our ERP Software System, Job Commander and an Electronic Scheduler, Just Plan It on behalf of RB Systems. Some of the companies I meet with have been operating multi million dollar turnover businesses with 1-2 owners/managers at the helm with all the information locked in their heads or on excel spreadsheets. To scale and/or sell a business, you have to “set the stage” in order to enable and support growth. This begins with the right planning and systems. Survey Launches for National Powersports Dealer Association (NPDA) Dealers. Approximately 13 states have some form of a powersports dealer association. There is a large gap between what currently exists, and where we should be, and this has allowed many of our industry vendors to take advantage of their "partners". The NPDA has decided to devote the resources to assist dealers in standing up associations in all 50 states. But first, we need to gain a better understanding of the current legal landscape, and to identify the individuals who are willing to put in the work. As the NPDA begins to facilitate the formation of State Dealer Councils, we are seeking feedback from our Dealer members. We appreciate your participation in taking the survey below to help us down that path. We understand that not every dealer knows the laws in their own states (in fact that's a common problem). If you don't know the answers to all the questions then that is fine. Heading into our team offsite and thinking a lot about how to stay focused on the right kinds of risk to enable us to have a chance at maximum impact and financial outcomes. Part of the inspiration was helping my 17 year old, prep and run at a track day this weekend with our 2010 MINI JCW. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure given my day job, but there is so much to learn from trying to get faster lap times. And the daily is still an EV. Unfortunately EVs are not quite cheap enough to deal with the inevitable unplanned track exits. Repetitions matter. In this case, my son has had a race sim setup to learn stick/manual. His first time in a real stick shift was 4 weeks ago but the sim time meant a few laps in, he was already pushing limits and getting questions about how long he'd been racing. Hardest thing in VC is that more reps can lead to less risk taking. There are so many more details about failure modes. And you need ways to anchor on the right info about what could happen, especially early on vs getting trapped in the past.
