"Water is the element of change. The people of the Water Tribes are capable of adapting to many things. They have a sense of community and love that holds them together through anything" In the final part of the series, I explored water tribes in the Avatar universe and examined their architecture. I also looked at how their harsh physical and political environment influenced their reactive values. https://lnkd.in/d9CVMFwF

🌐 Excited to share a groundbreaking approach in weather forecasting with our latest blog post! Check out our new publication "HEAL-ViT: Vision Transformers on a spherical mesh for medium-range weather forecasting" on arXiv. Our innovative architecture, HEAL-ViT, leverages ViT models on a spherical mesh to outperform traditional methods, offering efficient attention-based mechanisms while addressing issues with spatial distortion. See how HEAL-ViT redefines medium-range weather forecasting: [Read more here](https://bit.ly/3VBa2uW)

I personally think efficiency should be the main focus rn because it is unsustainable and unjust to keep scaling current models given their energy and water usage it directly further impacts the global south that is already impacted disproportionately by effects of climate change
we gonna have to try something as radical and transformational (no pun intended) as the transformer to find the next big architectural breakthrough 💠 WWFD: what would Feynman do 🙂

TAC: Cosmic Awareness and the Art of Recovery The future is tainted by foreign concepts, and familiarity splinters into various camps, sometimes bordering on the occult. Yet, within this tradition lies the potential for architecture to reestablish itself, shedding all hocus pocus. There is a vision that restores belief, teaching that to have faith, you must understand sacrifice, make it personal, give love, be broken-hearted, and idolize others. There is a cat in everyone’s life, waiting to be recognized. Learn what it has to say and why it finds you. Its innocence is a trait we humans have somehow forgotten but desperately need to reflect. Architecture serves as the mediator between these disparate worlds, engaging in the art of recovery. It reminds us of the simple, profound lessons that cats embody—love, innocence, and connection. Tomorrow, we can live again, knowing our trust in life and the love of others is worth embracing. Architecture helps us bridge the gap, uniting our fractured perspectives and guiding us back to the core values we have lost. Through this, we find hope and renewal. #TAC #CosmicAwareness #ArtOfRecovery #ArchitecturalReflection #GeometryInArchitecture #PoliticalArchitecture #FelineGrace #TransformationOfSpace #CollectiveMemory #ArchitecturalElegance #GracefulDesign #HowWeKnow #LoveOfOthers #InnocenceRediscovered #MediatorOfWorlds

BEHIND THE FORMS X SPATIAL METAPHOR North Gallery @northgalleryscut, Guangzhou, China 09/18 - 10/20 2023 Part I | SPATIAL On the other hand, starting from architecture as a comprehensive consciousness system, the cognition, laws, and thinking that it generates, either actively or passively construct an inductive theoretical framework, pertaining to generative methods, constitutive principles, and perceptual patterns, from which the random and subtle constraints of the physical world are removed for generalization. From an ideological and creative standpoint, the distinctive potential that plays a central role in architecture lies in the intertextual metaphors and interactive influences co-constructed by spaces and human behaviors. To some extent, this could be considered the spiritual attribute of architecture. #JXYStudio #culture #art #architecture #exhibition https://lnkd.in/eEBgXn9f

The (A)Symptomatic Spectrum – A Design Manifesto (Part 3) /ˌeɪsɪm(p)təˈmatɪk/ "The Art and (Pseudo)Science of Design should increasingly become one of “Design Research” one cannot be divorced from the other. Or risk it becoming a sort of archaic Pseudoscience. The era of mystery is over. Thanks to big data, there’s been a high level of transparency shed onto a process that’s long been shrouded in mystery & magic, there rested the allure and admiration & recognition. However, for how much longer can we rely on anecdotal evidence, rules of thumb, and generalizations? Otherwise, we are to admit that practice is the active reinforcing of inductive reasoning — That what you see is what you get and if "X" is true here it should be true in the next case and the next. #UrbanPlanning #Urbanism #Practice #Architecture #Cities

Future thinking coupled with design can unlock your innovation potential.
🌍 Imagine a future, perhaps a distant one, where humankind has become a multiplanetary species. What would life be like beyond Earth? What parts of our culture, values, and traditions have we brought with us? Is the environment familiar to us, perhaps mimicking the light, textures, and smells found on our home planet? What would be the architecture be like? The theory and practice of the novel field of space architecture was first outlined in 2002, when the Millenium Charter was drafted at the World Space Congress. But how does one design with the unknowable in mind? To find an answer, futurist and architect Lovisa Volmarsson👋 met up with Marius Venø B., Senior Developer & Partner at SAGA Space Architects. Read the full interview 👉 https://lnkd.in/dcchBp-Y This interview was first published in our latest edition of FARSIGHT. FARSIGHT is our quarterly futures publication where we explore different ideas, perspectives and scenarios for the future(s). #spacearchitect #foresight #futuresthinking #designthinking August Leo Liljenberg - Casper Skovgaard Petersen
