As you arrive at our 1 Hotel San Francisco and move through the lobby, you will notice sculptural light fixtures by artists Doug Johnston and Tomoe Matsuoka. These fixtures are intricately crafted with cotton and white nylon cord, coiled and machine-stitched using ancient vessel-building techniques. The corded light bulbs cast an ethereal glow over the space, enhancing the ambiance. The art throughout our San Francisco sanctuary strives to incorporate our community, surroundings, and local history—organically and sustainably. That’s why we’ve commissioned like-minded local artists to create pieces that provoke thought and instill meaning at every turn in our hotel. #1Hotels #DoAllTheGoodYouCan #MissionDrivenHospitality

2moThis is so beautiful and is something all hotels regardless of star rating often neglect! Evoking a feeling is THE best marketing a hotel has in its tactical armoury. Sustainability is at the heart of everything right now and rightly so. We should be speaking to our guests through deco, ambiance, furniture, art and all touch points. This will help your business steer guests into making to decisions you want them to make and make them feel at comfortable and valued at the same time!
