In everything we do, even or rather especially at work, intergrity is paramount. The dictionary defines integrity as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. Having strong moral principles; moral uprightness includes saying what is right ad right and what is wrong as wrong. When we choose to remain silent because we have certain fear for whatever reason, seriously, I will have doubt about the integrity of such person. If one sold his integrity for some worldly gain, would you expect him not to sale anything else for the sake of his personal gain? Silence in the face of injustice is complicity with the oppressor. https://lnkd.in/gAShKAuk

New Post: Listen to a domain expert, even if he’s weird Some people are domain experts. Maybe a bit emotional, maybe a bit racist, maybe a bit sexist, maybe a bit dogmatic. Negatives aside, absolute pros in their field. Remember: He may be wrong in all other areas of life, but he's right in that area of his domain expertise. Put aside your instinctive distrust of his flaws. Take advice on the subject he knows. https://lnkd.in/dBRE3D4c

https://lnkd.in/gGniZfbN The Song That Doesn't End #CarlJung #mandela An initial conversation should be designed to find similarities between two parties in culture and interest and expand those interests for true connection in a follow up conversation. This concept of wokism: Pretending you're awake and you're not. Speaking the buzzwords and not have any idea of what they mean. So in this phone chat ad in real time, I unpack myself in conversation by introducing myself as Lamb Chop. And also introduce a very popular scripture from Jesus in the desert, “Man cannot live by bread alone.” So what does that mean? What is that exactly? We say it all the time from our lips, but what does that mean? I placed an ad with two other lines. 😡 The easiest way to get to know someone is when they are angry. Another line: 🥞 Feedback is the Breakfast of Champions. This time I invited the trial members to connect where normally I talk to paid members. I did exchange numbers making two connections scanning the line for 40 minutes. With the first caller whose ad said he wanted to talk, I reiterate over and over again I don't want to meet up, especially if there is 400 miles in between us and I definitely don't want him to come to my home. Some people don't understand. This older guy says, “I don't understand what you're talking about.” I said, “What is it that you don't understand? I said I don't meet up in person." The response was “click”. I was okay with the disconnection to protect my ANONYMITY after 20 minutes of a roundy round conversation in persuasion tactics. The older population on the chat line is more demanding with physical connection than the younger population. When younger people say they want conversation that is what they mean. However, the older population will say TALK as a buzzword to engage you with persuasion tactics to break down your values for a physical connection. Not safe unless you can stand your ground time and time again. This eventually will show you the character of the caller as you give refusal upon refusal with each invite. Some will hang up abruptly. Others will hang up after some insults. The younger population in general is willing to have a conversation on your terms. Many want a thought provoking conversation to know the thoughts behind the voice. There is a misconception about younger people on chat lines. That they're making chat lines unsafe. In reality, it's my generation that wants to break your anonymity by bombarding you with invites for physical connection right out of the gate. So in another post I will talk about how to bring Value to a conversation in a first conversation without using persuasion tactics to get what you want initially. Connection takes time. #writing #analyticalskills #thirstythursday #connect #communityoutreach #intakeconversations #phone #personaldevelopment #bonding #friendshipfirst #patientadvocacy #realtimeads #dating #lgbtqcommunity #anonymity #safetyprotocol

Now more relevant than ever, in this age of self-made stupidity, in the era of TikTok: "A picture is not an argument... the proper approach to knowledge is the exact opposite. The proper approach is integration, the study of everything relevant to a question, and then the uniting of all this information into a single non-contradictory whole... Those who show us pictures of misery... expect... to invoke a passion... but an Objectivist looking... would not respond with blind, unthinking "compassion." He would ask some hard questions first, such as: What am I seeing? Why did this happen? Who is responsible? What does justice dictate here? What does logic have to say? A person's philosophy determines his response... reason is our guide to knowledge... What we need... is not good eyes, but a good brain-- not visual aids, but intellectual aid-- not any more pictures, but a lot more words... written by thinkers... to enable mankind to discover what [any given] picture actually means... a rational argument, i.e. reason, is man's unique power of sight and thus the root of all his glory." #LeonardPeikoff
