Does it feel like nothing truly recharges you? (You need to see this.) As someone who battled burnout: → This 7-part system revived my energy levels when nothing else worked. According to Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith: ↳ You need 7 types of rest for peak performance: 1. Physical Rest: Replenish your body’s energy - Passive: Sleep 7+ hrs, power naps - Active: Stretch, massage, ergo desk 2. Mental Rest: Don’t overtax your thinking - Write to-dos, use checklists - Create work/life separation - Take breaks, meditate 3. Social Rest: Spend time with energizing people - Limit energy vampires - Solo time for introverts 4. Spiritual Rest: Find a bigger purpose - Volunteer - Purpose-driven work - Faith activities 5. Sensory Rest: Avoid overstimulation - Unplug from socials/notifications - Limit video calls - Calming ambiance 6. Emotional Rest Don’t burn out your emotional energy. - Be authentic - Speak to a therapist 7. Creative Rest Find aesthetic inspiration - Appreciate nature's beauty - Inspiring arts/media Get all 7 types of rest to recharge fully. —— → Repost this to share with others ♻️. → Follow me, Mayaaz Reza for daily tips on the most simple & time efficient ways to maximize your performance & boost your health. Narrow Your Focus 👁️ Are you overwhelmed with the big changes that you want to make in your body and in your lifestyle? The person that you are today may be miles from the person that you want to be, and this could cause you to try on too many changes at once. 🙁 The best strategy is to find one new healthy habit to dedicate yourself to this week, and don’t try to add more until you’ve got the first one mastered! Narrow your focus to one single improvement at a time; you’ll be delighted by the result. 💯💪

I don't often draw diagrams. So welcome to my attempt to sum up my post 🤦♀️👇 Here's the thing: I see (and sometimes experience too), the insane overloads we ask our brains and bodies to process. 🧠🤯It's so easy to slot into doing, freneticness and non stop mental activity. Modern Llife is designed to continually download information at a rate of knots unfathomable only 50 years ago.😣 This incessant doing takes it's toll and we're seeing stress, burnout and anxiety climb to unrecognisable levels of intensity.🛑 What is often forgotten and almost overlooked is the ability at ANY moment to drop into the state of 'being'.🏞 Trees, plants and nature 🌳🌱🌿are excellent guides in the art of being. Sit in a garden, park or forest and being washes over you. It's restorative, regulating and so still it balances out our nervous system creating safety.⛑️ However, here's the nifty bit, even in the middle of the busiest times,we can drop into moments of 'being'. A busy deadline, a house to clean, a 1000 chores to get done in a day? Drop into moments of being. ⬇️These create clarity, stop stress crescendoing into bad stress and support your brain health and physiology.🙌 How? So many ways. it's anything that slows your brainwaves grounds you to the moment you're in and connects you up your body. Whether, you breathe, focus on nature as a mindful muse, do an at your desk body scan, close your eyes, walk around the block, dump thoughts swirling in a journal to deepen being....it's always there sat beneath the busyness of life: calm, slow, restorative, nurturing and healing with huge clarity.💡🦉 Learning to drop into being could just change our experience of life.🙏 #being #stressmanagement #anxietymanagement #healing #beinghuman #wellbeing

What's on the menu? Strategic self-care and empowerment! Dr. Dan Siegel came up with the mind platter as the recipe to a healthy and resilient mind. Each element need to happen every day, here is how it looks for me: 1. Exercise: I train 3 to 4 times per week, and I usually go for a walk for the remaining days. 2. Focus: I probably have too much of that one haha. 3. Connecting: I tend to socialise everywhere I go, at the gym, at networking events, friend circle, and on here! 4. Play: I may not have an allocated time for this, but I do let my mind go wild at anytime haha. 5. Downtime: It usually happens in the car when I park at home. Just letting my mind wander off without any purpose. 6. Time-in: I use journaling as my way of reflecting and focusing on my internal thoughts. 7. Sleep: Everyone's favourite! I tend to have 5 to 6h of sleep during the week, and 8h during the weekend. (Ideally you want to be the same throughout the week). That's just my personal 'platter' to keep me in check mentally. Because having a healthy mind helps being productive, positive, and focused, I will make a Part 2 to which will be posted on Thursday. It will help your business and your personal life! What's your favourite self-care habit? Comment below!
