🔬 Cure4Aqua Update: major milestone in nanocarrier research! We are pleased to share a significant advancement in our nanocarrier development, achieved through the collaborative efforts of our partners at Biologické centrum AV ČR, v.v.i. (BCAS), Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) and Chulalongkorn University (CU). The initial nanoencapsulation was expertly prepared by our partners at CU, with Anush Arakelyan from BCAS enhancing the process by adding chitosan, ensuring stability and adherence of the nanocarriers.   🧪 Key Achievements: •   Nanoencapsulation: Prepared by CU and activated with chitosan and proceeded to test their encapsulation efficiency and kinetic release profile by BCAS. •   Samples sent to HCMR: Currently undergoing sustained release testing and electron microscopy characterisation. •   Fluorescent labelling underway: To investigate interactions with fish surfaces and blood cells.   ▶ Looking ahead, we’ll begin in vivo pharmacokinetics studies to analyse A-2S release in European Seabass juveniles, providing valuable data on nanocarrier performance.   This milestone is a testament to the strength of international collaboration within the Cure4Aqua project.
