Begin reaching out to potential buyers from your contacts list 4-6 months before the art fair. Keep engaging with them both before and after the event. Craft a concise pitch highlighting what's unique about each artist and their work, tailored to what typically motivates buyers of an artist's work, such as the artist's renown or the story behind the piece. Offer an incentive to entice people to sign up for your gallery's mailing list. Keep in mind that most visitors to your booth may not purchase immediately. However, art fairs are about nurturing connections and consistent follow-up. Patience will lead to sales. #artsales #sellingartonline #sellmoreart #galleryfuel #artbusiness #artdealing #galleryowner #artbusinessconsulting

3 Tips for Navigating Art Fairs Like a Pro Attending art fairs can be a game-changer for collectors, whether you're just starting or looking to expand your collection. Here are three tips to help you get the most out of your experience: 1️. Do Your Homework: Research the fair’s exhibitors and artists in advance. Knowing who will be there allows you to plan your visit and target the booths that align with your interests. 2️. Engage and Ask Questions: Don’t be afraid to strike up conversations with gallery representatives and artists. Asking about the artworks, artists’ backgrounds, and the inspiration behind the pieces can provide valuable context and might even lead to unique opportunities. 3️. Document Your Favorites: With so much to see, it’s easy to forget what caught your eye. Take notes and photos (when allowed) of artworks and artist details to help you reflect and make informed decisions after the fair. Art fairs are an incredible opportunity to discover new talent, learn from industry insiders, and expand your art knowledge. Dive in with a plan, be curious, and enjoy the experience! #ArtFairTips #CollectingArt #ArtMarket #EmergingArtists #ArtCollector #ArtAdvisory

One of the most important aspects to consider before signing up for an art fair, art walk, art festival, or similar event is how the producers intend to publicize it. It can be held in a beautiful space and filled with exhibitors but if nobody knows it's happening, nobody's gonna come. Publicity is the responsibility of the producers, not the exhibitors. Some publicize plenty, others hardly at all. Find out their plans. Get the specifics. Research their past events, especially how many attended.

Turning Museum Visits Into Lasting Memories Every time I walk into a museum, I’m reminded of how much these spaces offer—stories, education, and a chance to connect with something greater. There’s something powerful about standing in front of a masterpiece or learning the history behind an artifact. But for me, the experience doesn’t end when I leave. I love bringing home a small reminder—a beautifully designed souvenir that reflects what I learned or saw that day. It’s not just a keepsake; it’s a way to carry that inspiration with me. A puzzle featuring an iconic artwork or a custom bookmark from a special exhibition—it’s these thoughtful items that keep the experience alive and, in some way, make me feel like I’m supporting the museum’s mission to educate and inspire. What’s your favorite way to remember a museum visit? Do you look for something specific to take home, or is the experience itself enough?

What does 2025 hold for the art market? After a turbulent 2024, which saw the global market fall by 24%, the conversation around where we’re heading is more relevant than ever. I had the pleasure of attending London Art Fair this week, where I watched a fascinating panel discussion on the outlook for the year ahead. Expertly chaired by Lindsay Dewar, the panel featured Julia Bell (PARAPLUIE CONTEMPORARY ART LIMITED), Martina Batovic, and Georgina Walker, who shared their insights on market trends and opportunities. From the softening market offering fresh opportunities for collectors to the growing influence of female artists, 2025 is already showing signs of promise. I’ve captured these insights, along with my own reflections, in this article: [https://lnkd.in/eJpMh9hY] With exciting exhibitions on the horizon and renewed energy in the art world, now is a fantastic time to engage with the market.
