"Wine doesn't get me drunk!" Stop believing this myth. Here's why- whisky contains roughly 40 percent alcohol by volume. So if you consume a 30 ml peg, it contains 12 ml of pure alcohol or ethanol. Meanwhile, wine can contain anywhere between 5.5 to 16.5 percent alcohol. So if you have one standard-size serving of wine with 12 percent ABV, which amounts to 150 ml, it contains 18 ml of pure alcohol. Remember it is a volume game- the more the wine, the more the alcohol. Here's how you can avoid getting drunk while having wine. 1️⃣Limit yourselves to drinking 1-2 glasses of wine in one evening 2️⃣Sip on water to stay hydrated and refresh your palate 3️⃣Go for wines with lower ABV 4️⃣Line your stomach food 5️⃣Share your wine with friends Share this video with your oenophile friends who think that they can't get drunk on wine and help them adopt these healthy habits. Cheers! #Sonalholland #mastofwine #whisky #wine #winetips #WineKnowledge #wineexperience #wineexpert #alcohol #DrinkResponsibly

🍷 How Non-Alcoholic Wines Are Made. 🍇 Non-alcoholic wine aims to mimic the taste and mouthfeel of traditional wine but without the alcohol. There are a few methods used to produce non-alcoholic wine: 🍇Removing alcohol from regular wine: The most common approach is through vacuum distillation, where wine is heated and the alcohol evaporates. The dealcoholized wine is then blended with fresh grape juice to restore flavor and body. 🍇Preventing fermentation: Winemakers halt fermentation early so that the yeasts produce very little alcohol. This leaves residual sugar for taste. 🍇Using specialty yeasts: These yeasts ferment sugars into something other than alcohol. For example, they may produce glycerol, which provides a smooth mouthfeel. 🍇Grape juice with flavors: Some non-alcoholic wines start with unfermented grape juice and then add wine flavors, tannins, and acids to create complexity. 🍇No matter the method, the ethanol content of non-alcoholic wines is under 0.5% ABV. 🍷

Acidity in any drink gives a crisp, fresh taste and also contrasts with (and balances) sweetness.⠀⠀⠀ 🍶⠀⠀⠀ One of the principles of food pairing is matching like with like, so in theory acidic wines go well with dishes that have an element of acidity. 🍶⠀⠀⠀ Acidity also works with fatty or rich foods, for a different reason - it cuts through the fat, clearing it and removing lingering fatty flavours.⠀⠀
