🚦 New project: Strengthening Civil Society’s Role in Traffic Safety 🚦 We are thrilled to kick off a new project funded by #Skyltfonden, in collaboration with Tania Dukic Willstrand, Malin Levin, SAFER Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre at Chalmers, Malin Lundgren, NTF Väst, and Agneta Berlin, Ntf Fyrbodal. Running from January to July 2025, this initiative aims to amplify the voice of road users and enhance the role of civil society organisations in driving traffic safety. Civil society plays a vital role in fostering communities where citizens and businesses contribute to positive societal change. This is especially important during the transition to sustainable mobility, where traffic safety is not only a goal but a key enabler for safer walking, cycling, shared mobility, and public transport. The project will: 👉 Conduct a gap analysis and develop strategic recommendations. 👉 Explore how organisations like NTF can lead efforts to foster safer behaviors among road users. 👉 Engage experts and stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and knowledge sharing across Sweden and the Nordic region. #TrafficSafety #RoadSafety #Sustainability #CivilSociety #VisionZero #Collaboration

Really interesting discussion at #tds24 moderated by Amy Casterton of #esglobal on demountable venues such as #wooarchitects BBC Earth Experience, and abba voyage, demonstrated how demountable venues can align with the circular economy. The Paris Games are over, and Los Angeles is off to the races to prepare the city’s transit system for what officials are calling a transit-first 2028 Olympic Games. Here’s where we stand on our mobility projects. Here are the projects on track: The Crenshaw/LAX light rail line is a key connector for the millions landing in Los Angeles. By 2028, it will link with the airport’s new automated people mover train and the Inglewood transit connector, shuttling passengers to major LA28 venues. Three Bus Rapid Transit lines from North Hollywood to Pasadena, Hollywood to South Central and from Northridge to North Hollywood before 2027. Metro is also on track to open light rail extensions in east and west L.A. What will we not see: Four key light rail projects connecting the Valley, South Bay and gateway cities to the Metro rail system are delayed until the 2030s. What’s the hold up? Metro has struggled to source the funding needed to accelerate some of its major transit projects ahead of the Games. The European Parking Association priority issue of Cross-Border Enforcement is of particular importance between the Republic of Ireland and Northen-Ireland.
