This lines up very well with how we think about community and how important and nourishing it is to get together with great people like the people that come to our meetups. Energized and inspired: Key takeaways from last night's networking event. I had a wonderful time at the Initialized Capital yesterday evening. The event focused on connecting early-stage startups with talent, including Career Karma & TANDA. Jesse Chor, CEO of TANDA, is creating a community-based financial support platform. He had such a warm and honest presence during his talks. It was my first networking event in a while and it was revitalizing! Before walking in the door, I told myself that I was going to talk to everyone, and I did just that! I even met Ahmad O. from Mt. San Antonio College - I rarely meet someone who attended the same community college. Event Takeaways: • Own your contrarian truth: We all have points of view that differ from the norm; put them on display and stand behind them. • Find your “almost yes”es: Some of your best opportunities come from connections where the relationship feels right even if the job is not. Stay in touch with those people! 🤝 • Building is key: You always learn while building and it’s great to share your progress along the way! (updates coming soon 👀) I’m looking forward to fostering the connections from yesterday. #StartupCommunity #EventInsights #CommunityBuilding #NetworkingEvent

I network with you at events and online to connect you with opportunities. CEO @ Tjena | Recovering Event Producer turned Professional Wing Woman | Speaker | Superconnector | Networking Strategist | AI Enthusiast | ENFJ
When I returned to #Winnipeg, I was looking for ways to meet new people and get involved in the tech scene. That's how I met Robert at a local event, and he introduced me to Tech Thursday. I loved it so much that I decided to organise our own event while I’m in town and before I head back home to Sweden. On Thursday, March 28th at the Launch Coworking Space Exchange location, we're kicking off at 16:30. This isn’t just another networking event; it’s a chance to connect in a whole new way. Our Panelists (But Think Different): Joanne Zuk - from just outside Winnipeg, Joanne has been using her skills in strategy, consulting, and negotiation to connect people for years. She's all about creating meaningful connections. Robert de Guzman - Rob’s move from Manila to Winnipeg showed him the power of a strong network. Working in HVAC, he’s excited to share how networking has fuelled his growth. Michelle Boivin - With her background in communication and events, Michelle is an expert at engaging audiences. She’s focused on rebuilding her network and ready to share valuable tips. Me: Originally from Winnipeg, I’m here to change the way we think about networking. It’s all about meaningful interactions, and I’ve got some ideas to share. Not Just Another Panel: This event will be more like a Clubhouse session – an engaging, open conversation where everyone’s invited to participate. It’s laid back, it’s interactive, and it’s where real connections happen. Why You Should Join: ITS FREE with Pizza and Beer! Thanks Neo Financial and Paul Card and Philippe Burns for coordinating! Be Part of the Conversation: This is your chance to engage directly with this crew and the community. Share your thoughts, ask questions, and get insights in real-time. Networking Made Natural: Forget stiff, formal networking. This style makes meeting people easy, fun, and genuine. Learn and Grow: Whether you’re looking to expand your network, find new opportunities, or just want to meet like-minded people, there’s something here for you. Secure Your Spot: Ready for an evening of insightful conversation and genuine connections? Grab your free ticket now: https://lnkd.in/dXdzpDbV Let’s make networking fun and meaningful together. Can’t wait to see you there!

Founder of MorePaws - The community driven app connecting dog owners to build trusted and reliable support networks 🐶 Find everything you need on MorePaws🐾 #morepawsthemerrier
Solo founders are 20% more likely to fail in the first 5 years than those founded with teams. Being a solo founder can be difficult because you don’t have anybody to bounce ideas off, motivate you and hold you accountable. But that doesn’t have to be the case Networking with other founders allows you to discuss your struggles, celebrate your small wins and share best practices. Every founder will experience the same hurdles at some point so why not have a community where we all support each other. If your a Manchester based founder drop me a message, it would be great to hear more about your journey at next meet up every Wednesday.

It's a special day today: announcing the Upside Club 🤩 An invite-only community for Entrepreneurs. No, it's NOT one more fucking networking event, it’s a 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲. 🔥 It all started with several conversations with Founders over the past year or so, where there was a pattern: folks shared being “lonely” and lacking like-minded people to speak with. I could easily understand as I’ve felt that loneliness myself. From there, I went on to organize something to connect people. A simple thing like a simple lunch seemed like a good place to start. And so, the "Tech Founders Club" lunches were born. We did 2 of them already, and folks keep asking for more. As if that wasn't enough, we have ~60 more incredibly interesting people on the waitlist. 🤯 Connecting these people is something that I genuinely enjoy, and I'm stoked that I get to do this with my friend Francisco Raio, as Co-Founders of this thing. Together, we're taking this a bit more seriously and attempting to create a unique community in Portugal. 🇵🇹 Official website coming soon. 🔜 For now, follow our page and I'll add the link to Apply here to become a Member in the comments. ↓

I'm such a lucky duck. One of the cool programs I got to launch alongside Anuj Adhiya 📈 with Startup Boston was a BRAND NEW membership program called Founder+. It's designed to help founders who are actively working on their startup to stay on track, avoid common founder problems, and get connected with each other. I finally got to meet Founder+ members Gracyn W. Robinson, MHL, EDAC and Alik Christianian in person at #sbw2024 and it felt like reconnecting with long-term friends...even though I've only known them for three months. The founder's journey can be harrowing, lonely, emotional, and triumphant. It's a crucible for relationships. Manifesting a virtual relationship at an in-person event is transformative. Sure, you finally realize how tall someone is, but you also gain a perspective of how deep they are as well. And that makes me a lucky duck: I get to float with fun people and curate spaces for people to not feel alone.

Networking events can be challenging, especially those early morning meet-ups. 😴 The struggle is real, but so are the rewards! Thank you to everyone who joined us this early morning and contributed to the creation of a community in Uppsala where ideas don't just grow, but flourish! 🏆 At this morning's Drivhuset Uppsala Breakfast Club, I was reminded of the importance of networking. I overheard a conversation that turned into a brainstorming session, sparking an idea that will probably lead to a new collaboration. 🤩 It's these unexpected moments of connection that truly highlight the rewards of community building. Thank you, Denys Shevchenko, for presenting your startup, Copper Lavender AB. Your journey is inspiring! 🚀 Missed out today? It's like a cool club of SIBM entrepreneurs, founders, and professionals like us who want to make the most of our Symbiosis connections for our businesses and personal growth! 💼✨ Why should you skip this virtual bash? ❌ Don't want to learn from vast experience of Symbi alumni? ❌ Don't want more leads for business, right? ❌ Not really into growing your business or personal network? ❌ Who needs to chat with old Symbi pals, anyway? ❌ Why bother with exclusive topics curated for you when you can binge-watch anything on YouTube? ❌ Community support? We at Founders Connect are building a community of Black Builders - founders, professionals, investors, and creators dedicated to empowering Africa and its diaspora. A few weeks ago, we quietly launched this community by sending direct invites to a handful of amazing people I've had the privilege of meeting and interacting with over the years. But as we gear up for our first community event—the official launch and town hall—I thought, why not open it up a little more? Why "Black Builders" as the name? Well, this community is for individuals of Black or African descent who are actively building - whether it's startups, careers, brands, or investment portfolios. It's also open to allies of any race who are committed to developing and investing in initiatives that empower Africa and its diasporic communities. This journey has been incredible. From telling stories via Founders Connect on YouTube to organizing in-person events that bring our community together, we are now creating a closed space where we can engage and interact regularly without waiting for the next physical meetup. It has been a natural progression, driven by the connections and needs I've observed along the way. The Black Builders Network is more than just a community - it's a curated space for experienced professionals (6+ years in their field) to share knowledge, offer support, and discover new opportunities. If you're a founder, professional, investor, or creator of Black or African descent or an ally committed to developing and investing in Africa and its diaspora with over 6 years of experience, I'd love to have you join us. There are three ways to join the Black Builders Network. 1. Through a referral from someone in the community. 2. Apply directly at https://lnkd.in/eMeb42_q 3. Through a direct invitation from me (send me a DM to get this ). It is still very early days; we are still testing the waters with what works, how often the community wants to engage, how to meet everyone's needs, etc, but I am excited because the vision is clear and it is solid. #BlackBuildersNetwork #AfricanTech #Entrepreneurship #CommunityBuilding cc Tega Gabriel Ogigirigi
