🎉 GGTI loves celebrating our teammates and their contributions! For our January anniversary celebrants, we asked them which of our company’s core values they identify with most in the work they do. Check out what they had to say: -TEAMWORK: "Pretty much every task I've worked on has only succeeded because of teamwork." - Emily Bollen, Senior Systems Engineer, 16 years -RESPECT: "All of these core values are important, but I think the one that lays the foundation for the other three and that carries through the most in both work and personal life is 'respect.' I don’t really have a specific example but treating everyone with a baseline level of respect has never led me astray." - Thomas Stackhouse, Program Analyst, 7 years -RESPECT: “I treat everyone with respect. I was always taught that there is nothing beneath me when it comes to doing things and that includes work relationships. I value and respect people’s opinions and circumstances. When someone needs my help, I’ll be the first to say, 'How can I help you?' This is how I live my life, and this is how I work." - Ozzy Valdivieso, PMP, Director of Operations, 16 years

Someone told me thank you for my work the other day. It was not unusual, and it was not a huge, public recognition. Just a simple thank you. And that simple thank you uplifted my day. I was physically, mentally, and emotionally spent. But that one thank you energized me. Here’s why: - It reminded me that the work I was doing, regardless of any external factors, impacted others positively at the end of the day. My work was of service, and it reminded me of that. - It reminded me that whatever challenges I may face, it all pales in comparison to the kindness and support found in these relationships. - It reignited my passion for that specific task/project that I could find no motivation for in that moment. - It showed me that even that small task I completed for this person made a big difference in biting off pieces of that large and looming project. That small act of gratitude reminded me that the large project was doable, through small wins. A kind word goes a long way! I was (and continue to always be) immensely grateful for these small (yet hugely impactful) moments of exchanged kindness and care.

Inheriting a boss or joining a new team can be challenging. For it to succeed, everyone needs to quickly adapt to each other and stay focused on the team’s goals. When I think about gratitude this week I’m thankful for my colleagues all across Analytics8 | Data & Analytics Consultancy. Especially the group that shares Kevin Lobo as a leader. Every one of my peers on his list helps make it possible for each of us to do our best work, and to collaborate in our mutual success. I learned a long time ago that despite what is on the job description (or isn’t) there are two simple measures of a leader’s success: 1️⃣ Enabling their team to grow, learn, and succeed. 2️⃣ Making their boss look good. So, Kevin, thank you for helping everyone on your team hit these benchmarks. It is a lot easier to make you look good when it is clear that you’re invested in our success as well. One of earliest lessons we learned in developing the ONEderful platform is that the tool is only powerful if we first supply patients with the same level of care and attention they receive from their providers. We couldn't ask for a more passionate, charismatic, and thoughtful leader to helm the team that is wholly responsible for supporting patients as they navigate and select financing offers for their treatment on ONEderful.
