New Post: Does ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ have multiplayer? - https://lnkd.in/gadvmtGb - Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been fully unveiled after being teased years ago. Set in Fuedal Japan, the long-awaited next entry in Ubisoft’s franchise is coming this year. But with an ambitious roadmap for the franchise, including Assassin’s Creed Infinity as a platform, will the game have multiplayer? READ MORE: All games releasing in 2024 for PS5, PS4, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch Multiplayer and co-op have been absent from the franchise for a decade now, first losing its beloved PvP mode. Multiplayer was then never built upon after the release of Unity and since then, all the games have been solo adventures. Is Shadows the same? Does ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ have multiplayer? Assassin’s Creed Shadows will not have multiplayer or any co-op functionality. Despite the game having two playable characters, you will be able to switch between them in the game’s main single-player open-world – similar to how things worked back in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate almost a decade ago. Naoe and Yasuke act like Jacob and Evie from Syndicate, sharing a story rather than being a choice offered to you at the beginning of the game like in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. We have yet to see just how intertwined these stories are, but Shadows will launch this new era of the franchise, so we are betting on this entry to be ambitious. Thanks to details from Ubisoft itself, we already have details on some of the gameplay mechanics, like improved stealth mechanics, armor on enemies that can be destroyed, and the return of classic Eagle Vision. Multiplayer is planned for this new era of Assassin’s Creed, however. The last report said it was codenamed Invictus and planned for 2025. So, you will have to wait a bit. For even more on Shadows ahead of its launch, check out the Assassin’s Creed Shadows trailer ahead of its launch on November 15, 2024. 🚨 New AI builds Indie-to-AAA props and characters 🚨 See the demo : https://bit.ly/m/Kaedim Image: Capcom Capcom showed off its open-world take on the franchise at State of Play Capcom has circled back to reveal more about Monster Hunter Wilds, the open-world entry in its beloved Monster Hunter series, after having previously revealed the game at The Game Awards 2023. At PlayStation State of Play on Thursday, a new gameplay trailer showed off way more of this massive upcoming title. There’s still no release date — besides just “2025” — but now we know a bit more about how the game looks. The new gameplay trailer introduced what appears to be an ensemble cast of characters, trading quips amongst one another while riding a big boat that somehow is traveling over the sand dunes of a huge desert. A series of shots then depicts these characters exploring a diverse range of environments that are — you guessed it — full of monsters. The trailer then showed some classic-looking Monster Hunter battles, with over-the-shoulder shots of a character who has a vast array of weapons at their disposal. The Monster Hunter franchise, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024, is comprised of dozens of wildly successful games across every platform — even the tabletop. The bestselling entry in the franchise, Monster Hunter: World (2018), was a huge action-adventure game but didn’t actually feature an open-world — despite the “World” in its title. Its follow-up, Monster Hunter: Rise (2021), followed the same formula. Since Monster Hunter Wilds will have a fully open world, fans can expect more freewheeling exploration through much bigger maps and biomes. We still don’t know exactly when in 2025 we’ll be exploring the world of Monster Hunter Wilds, but we do know the game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. ⭐ The world's best game studios ship 7x faster | Learn more at 🚨 New AI builds AAA characters 🚨 See the demo : https://bit.ly/m/Kaedim - try it today to turn sketches into game assets in minutes. #gdc #gdc2024 #a16z #GamingIndustry #Games #MobileGames #GameNews #IndieGameDev
