Wow, 6 years at Bright Network! Where does the time go? 🎉 In that time, so much has changed, and I’m grateful for every moment. Here’s a quick trip down memory lane: - Bright Network went from being the underdog to becoming the UK's most used early career platform (Times Top 100)! - Lost all my hair (totally worth it, though). - Held 4 different roles, all within the exciting world of new business sales. - Had the privilege of working with 3 incredible managers who’ve shaped my journey. - Onboarded over 200 new employers, from enterprise giants to innovative mid-market companies. - Moved offices from Regent Street to Liverpool Street. - Worked from over 70 coffee shops across 15 countries (new environments sooth my ADHD). - Watched our membership grow from 150,000 to 1.3 million bright minds! - Seen the team quadruple in size—and we’re still growing (seriously, check out our live roles)! - Stopped telling people I was an introvert and embraced my authenticity—life got so much better after that. -Met some of the most incredible people - colleagues, clients, members, speakers! Time really does fly when you’re having fun. It’s rare to find purpose-driven work in the corporate world, let alone in a company culture that values results, realness, and rest in equal measure... maybe results a little bit more. In light of recent events, I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be: fighting for a fairer and more equal society for the next generation. They deserve nothing less. 💪 Here’s to the next chapter! Kirsten Barnes James Uffindell thanks for the opportunity of a lifetime

Mondays often get a bad reputation, but I see them as a fresh start – an opportunity to push forward, solve challenges, and create impact. In the work we do at Talent Quarter, every week brings a chance to support healthcare teams and make a real difference. Whether it's helping a hospital find the right permanent staff or assisting a candidate in securing their next role, there’s always potential for something meaningful to happen. If this week is feeling like a mountain, remember – every step forward is progress. What are you most excited about for this coming week? Here’s to embracing the opportunities ahead, one day at a time. #NewWeekNewMindset #HealthcareRecruitment #TalentQuarter #OpportunitiesAhead #MakingADifference #connectionswithimpact

I Build & Strengthen People Teams | Corporate Culture | Talent Acquisition Leader | Candidate Experience Advocate | Employment Branding Strategist | Very People-y Podcast Host
What are you grateful for this week? Some things I'm extremely grateful for this week: 1. I am a part of a Recruiting Team that I am extremely proud of. The work that we are doing to continue pushing the envelope of Candidate Experience and hiring process leadership is just ... 🤌 Haley Armstrong, M.Ed., CTR, Liz Cotreau, and Kristi Waeltz, CTR ... thank you for all you do and for all the ways you make me a better human! 2. We JUST hired a new Senior Recruiter for our Puerto Rico office and I can't wait to see what they bring to the table! We have a lot planned for that community and it's going to be so exciting watching that come to fruition. 3. Talent Acquisition Week is NEXT WEEK! If you're in the TA space and going ... PLEASE reach out to me because I'm stoked about networking and collaborating and learning with you all! (I'm also not mad that it's in San Diego and that I will finally after far too long be able to eat In-N-Out Burger again) (Also stoked to give another in person high five to Dwane Lay & Crystal Lay) 4. I'm grateful for people that do drive by encouraging messages to me and that I get to do that to others. It's a wild world out there ... if you notice someone killing it or needing some encouragement ... shoot em a message today and let em' know you're rootin' for em. Too often we only voice our criticism. Let today be a day where you voice your words of encouragement 🫶 #DoGoodWork #BoriquasInTech #BeNextLevel #NLS #NextLevelSolutions Next Level Solutions #TAWeek #TalentAcquisitionWeek2024 #TalentAcquisition

Meet your new cheerleader, Insights Career Network Vice President of Member Services, Melissa Barrow! Melissa is fired up and already living out ICN’s mission of supporting research professionals throughout their career journey, especially during times of transition. Melissa is passionate about authenticity, inclusion, and mentorship with an eye on building our next generation of insights professionals. Experienced in supplier, vendor, and client roles, and all too familiar with the struggles of layoffs, joys of transition, and the growing pains of corporate transformation, she is well suited to walking side by side with our diverse membership. https://lnkd.in/gG_CQ3Kh A passion for making a difference is what led Melissa to the research industry. She began her journey in social research. No, not Meta and TikTok, but social programs and causes. Curiosity drove her to ask questions, get underneath issues, and bring back deep insights into youth, educators, and undocumented populations. In social research, she developed a well-rounded toolkit of methodologies and acquired the skills, tips, and tricks you only learn in practice. Then, she took those same skills to the market research sector for companies with headline-grabbing names like Texas Instruments, #GameStop, and 7-ELEVEn. There, she showed her talent for storytelling, expertise in relationship building, innovation mindset, and commitment to integrity, respect, and being of service. Melissa is energized by the possibilities that abound for the Insights Career Network and is set to get to work giving back to others. She has expressed appreciation for the founders having created this community and thanks those who have helped her focus her job search. Whether by participating in ICN break-out sessions or providing networking opportunities, people like Sarah E. Weber, Karen Augustine, Joe Cunningham, and Emily Erickson, among so many others have had an impact. #membership #community #leadership #communityleader #volunteer #mrx #marketresearch #dfwinsights #scrappypro #gameon

Still thinking about the 2024 OpportUNITY Summit? We are too. The passion needed for meaningful change was more than present in all of you who attended! 💪💙 For us, one of the biggest takeaways was Carla Javits, senior advisor and former CEO of REDF, reminding us that it's the ongoing, sometimes tedious work that makes the biggest impact when it comes to staying the vision.
