Hectic month for Startmate alumni raising $33.5m The thing they have in common? 100% deeptech and physical tech 🚀 What I love about it is 1/ Whilst other investors might still be reluctant to invest in deeptech and it is still seen as controversial we’ve been doing it for almost 10 years with our first hardware investment in 2016 - Morse Micro which just raised $100m+. 2/ Startmate’s Continuity Fund backs all of them, always taking our pro-rata to help our alumni raise with confidence. We’re consistently investing $120k in each company and another $100k-$500k in subsequent rounds Startmate Nation - building the environment to reduce the hurdles for founders to build, raise and hire ❤️🚀

It was great learning of his success & desire to pivot to full-time investor. Dan discussed scaling issues at a small & big Co. level. His perspective is extremely relevant for microcap investors, as many of us know how hard it is for small companies to scale… from the right management team, to understanding how to build different levels of distribution & partnership channels to expand awareness of products and services.
