As we gear up to celebrate the 4th of July, we at 360 Talent Avenue want to take a moment to honor this special day and reflect on the significance it holds for all Americans. Independence Day is a time to commemorate the birth of our nation and the freedom we enjoy today. It's also a time to appreciate the sacrifices made by our founding fathers and all those who have fought for our liberties. 🔥 Embracing Freedom and Opportunity 🔥 This 4th of July reminds us of the values that make our country great – freedom, diversity, and opportunity. Upcoming ICICI Manager || Summer Intern@ Wipro CCLG || IIM BG'25|| PU'23 || Zonal Level Gold Medalist in ICO || Content Writer || Digital Marketing
I wish I had been this choosy while picking my first boyfriend. 😉 Thrilled to share a huge milestone! 🎉 After a rigorous selection process, I’ve chosen 20 phenomenal volunteers from over 150 eager applicants for our Recent Budget Event. The talent and enthusiasm we witnessed were truly inspiring, making the decision incredibly tough. Why was I so selective?🤔 Because I believe in the power of a strong, dedicated team to transform a good event into an extraordinary one. Each volunteer stood out for their unique skills, passion, and commitment to making a difference. This experience taught me so much about being an HR for an event: 👉Tough Decisions: It was challenging to choose the right candidates from such a talented pool. Each applicant brought something unique and valuable. 👉Valuable Lessons: Being responsible for this selection process highlighted the importance of careful evaluation and the difficulty of making choices that balance skills, passion, and potential impact. Excited for what’s ahead! 🚀 #EventManagement #DreamTeam #Volunteers #Grateful #Team

WHY I'M PAUSING THE GOOD + FAIR EMPLOYERS CLUB FOR 2025 After much thought, I’ve decided to make some changes. To be clear, I love running the Good + Fair Employers Club. I’m proud to have built a brilliant community of early careers professionals, and to host such high-calibre discussions. So, what’s going on? Using my superpower of seeing challenges ahead, I’ve spotted two big issues which I can’t ignore, and which I feel uniquely placed to help employers to tackle: 1) THE LOOMING YOUTH CRISIS Too many young people are unprepared for world of work, thanks to failings in the #education system and Covid's long tail, among other factors. Critical thinking, resilience, and tolerance are in short supply, and we see a sharp rise in #mentalhealth and #neurodiversity (self-?) diagnoses from young people. Meanwhile, unaccountable social media influencers push bad job-hunting advice encouraging an activist/victim mindset, which I believe limits young people's potential. Examples include the off-the-shelf social justice dogma which young people feel strong pressure to adopt, and the arrival of what has been called ‘TikTok ADHD.’ 2) THE SHIFTING SOCIAL LANDSCAPE, AND MIS-STEPS AROUND DEI I believe the UK has entered a period of heightened societal tension, and battles around identity (political, racial, cultural, generational and sexual) will only get fiercer. Buckle up. Meanwhile, we’re starting to see the impact of 'bad DEI' which has created workplace cultures where some employees’ views and identities are prioritised above others’, leaving workforces divided and resentful. As #DEI has lost its way, strayed from the data, and wandered into hot political issues (most notably on race, trans inclusion and Israel/Palestine) without engaging with questions or criticism (including around legal risk), it has lost crucial support from customers and staff alike, and a reset is needed. SO, WHAT NEXT? I want young people to be ready for the world of work – and for #employers to be ready to help them to thrive. And I want to help employers to create happy, productive workplaces where disadvantaged groups are recognised and supported, but in ways which feel healthier, more sustainable and more (genuinely) inclusive. A new service for switched-on employers is taking shape. Have ideas about what it should look like? If you work in #HR, DEI or an HR/DEI-adjacent role that gives you insight into what employers need now, I’d love to hear from you. Look out for updates, and keep watching my new podcast This Isn't Working for clues about the direction of travel. For now, I'd just like to thank to my super-cool G+F members. I have been *astonished* that – despite me tackling some red-hot topics on here recently – not a single one has asked me to tone it down or rein it in. Their calm professionalism gives me confidence that we will find a way through the challenges ahead. Onwards and upwards! Tanya x PS. Questions and thoughts welcome below 😎

🌟 Celebrating Juneteenth and My Birthday 🎂 "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" – Martin Luther King Jr. Today is my birthday, a day I share with the important holiday of Juneteenth. I rarely discuss personal topics here, but I'll make an exception today. Thank you to my network for the birthday wishes—my inbox is bursting with joy! 💓 Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, marks the end of slavery in the U.S. On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger announced the end of slavery in Galveston, Texas, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and African American culture and history. Reflecting on LinkedIn's mission to connect professionals and make them more productive and successful reminds me of our collective power. My Birthday Wish today is to encourage those of you sharing experiences with toxic, unethical, or illegal employers to take an additional step: report these issues to state or federal agencies. Doing so can help drive solutions, accountability, and, if necessary, civil or criminal punishment. Be sure to check with your state for the respective agencies. Common issues to watch for: Employers changing incentive plans to avoid paying earned incentives Misclassification of jobs to avoid paying overtime Discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or age Terminating someone after a medical issue, pregnancy, or adopting a child These practices are illegal and unethical. Reporting them not only empowers individuals by allowing them to exercise their employment rights, but also helps prevent others from facing similar injustices. Many on this platform are struggling with job loss, underemployment, or unemployment. Many companies have internal and external referral programs. Let's show kindness and pay it forward: Internal Referral Programs: Leverage your network to refer qualified candidates. External Referral Programs: Share external referral programs to help connect job seekers. Job Boards and Career Services: Use LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, and educational institutions' career services to find and share job openings. Remember, there are many Wonderful Employers and People out there 😊 While bad actors can overshadow the good, we must strive for positive change by taking respectful, ethical, and lawful action to enforce our employment laws. Together, we can make LinkedIn a powerful tool for positive change and support. Let's use our strength to make a difference and align our words with our actions to always do good in the workplace. If you agree, please like, share, and repost to help spread some kindness today🌟😊 Key Resources: EEOC U.S. Department of Labor #HappyBirthday #Juneteenth #PositiveChange #ProfessionalSupport #EthicalWorkplace #EmploymentRights #StriveForGood #Respectful #Lawful #Integrity #Freedom #Resilience #LinkedInCommunity
