Wanna See Everything in this Museum in One Day???? Ok, then ask yourself this question - Can you make it through 23 GIGANTIC ROOMS filling roughly the size of almost 20 ACRES in One Day? GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! México's National Museum of Anthropology (Museo Nacional de Antropología) in México City is the most visited museum in the country of México. Millions flock there each year! It contains MEGA AMOUNTS of Ancient History, Artifacts, and Art. I have been there 5 to 6 times over the years and still don't believe I have seen EVERYTHING. Oh yea . . . and it has a really cool umbrella-looking waterfall in the center court -> see vid clip. I encourage travelers to venture way outside the minuscule 1% of México. That is, the very tiny 1% of the country which comprises all the popular sun & sand beach resort areas combined coast to coast. Instead, be an adventurer and head into regions found in the Other 99% of the country. There you will discover a most interesting diverse land of many tribes, colorful traditions, and geographic beauty. After nearly a year's worth of work, I'm pleased to announce the release of this report on the various audiences who are assumed to benefit from the dozens of digital transformations projects funded through the European initiative CHANSE, Collaboration of Humanities and Social Sciences in Europe. ⭐ The report analyses the results of 1700+ responses to questions about CHANSE Transformations audiences and associated knowledge exchange activities for those audiences. ⭐ We consider what knowledge exchange means to different people, and trends and omissions in understandings of audiences (e.g., the languages they speak, their perceived degrees of confidence with digital technologies, the contexts in which they work with CHANSE projects, etc). ⭐ We reflect on opportunities to connect projects together and deepen approaches to audience engagement. ⭐ We also discuss gaps which may threaten the impact of existing knowledge exchange plans in CHANSE projects, and which limit potential positive outcomes. ⭐ We conclude with specific measures that CHANSE teams can take in supporting audiences and growing knowledge exchange. ⭐ Importantly, we also reflect on the wider systemic issues that hamper knowledge exchange and demand a concerted response from funders and organisations governing European research and development. Among other points, we recommend, ➡ nurturing knowledge exchange advocates at the senior levels of project teams ➡ supporting future digital transformations initiatives in innovating with knowledge exchange itself based on the unique affordances of the digital ➡ offering guidance on climate-sensitive approaches to knowledge exchange (KE) – and understanding of the climate implications of different KE activities – to allow projects to develop more environmentally-conscious knowledge exchange opportunities ➡ pursuit of a deeper understanding of the socio-economic, institutional, and national research and development cultures which shape attitudes towards knowledge exchange, in order to inform more nuanced approaches in the future Thanks to the 100s of CHANSE project team members who’ve liaised with us, as well as to our funders ESRC: Economic and Social Research Council and those overseeing our research, including Dr Jamie Davies, Monika Huńka and Malwina Gębalska. EASA BARCELONA 2024 Happy to take part of this conference with my collegue Magali Dufau. This is the 18th EASA Biennial Conference with this year's theme : Doing and Undoing with Anthropology. Our panel is Panel 71: Doing provenance research otherwise. From undoing colonial epistemologies to pluralising knowledge with museum collections. This panel aims to reconfigure provenance research beyond Western academic epistemologies and to diversify the production of knowledge on and with collections from colonial contexts. It invites novel and plural approaches seeking to undo the colonial entanglements of museum collections.

However, it’s crucial to understand that while archives often aim to be accurate and reliable, they provide neither a really complete nor a necessarily objective representation of historical events and contemporary worlds. In this session, Saurabh Dube attempts to reconsider conventional perspectives on the archive, practice, history, and anthropology, emphasising their contradictory and contested nature within modernity.

The educational value of the Athonian Timescape. This paper will be presented in the forthcoming conference Anthropology and Education (Weds 26 June, 11:00AM, Senate House, London. Panel 17, https://lnkd.in/e2eCrwx8). The paper focuses on the educational role of the conception and uses of Time as it emerges out of the temporalities of the Athonian ‘landscape’ and ‘taskscape’ in formulating the ‘self’ in relation to others, the natural environment, and the ‘world’ out-there.
