I absolutely enjoy working in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental management roles. My journey started in 1980 with learning about implementing OSHA and EPA regulations, at an industrial equipment and chemical sales company. Quickly, I became the in house trainer for our customers on equipment safe operations and safe storage/use/disposal of the cleaning chemicals we sold. When I started my own company selling and manufacturing water blasting equipment, It became quickly apparent that I must align to OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and some other ones to avoid Tort Court losses. I even created a training for water blasters safe use and in many hazardous locations. Never did lose to a product liability court case Having trained Safety Programs, Defensive Driving (all classes), Food Safety / security, building services and CPR/AED with first aid, I learned to communicate to and with adults at work. Having also owned businesses or run businesses for others, my understanding of OSHA and other regulations importance to workers, quality and client satisfaction is different. I saw how Congress originally intended Management to hold the safety responsibility. With the 'whole picture' understanding, I now help the workers 'Want To do Safety', by teaching the 'Why' it is in their best interest. This approach works very well if you do it correctly with sincerity. I hope that anyone responsible for, or employed in 'Safety at Work', is not a 'By The Book Only' thinker. Just a Safety Cop. Here is what ASSP published about it in 2021 From article titled: What Is the Role of a Safety Officer in the Workplace? No matter the specific wording you see in a job description, it’s important to understand that a safety officer isn’t: - A “safety cop,” a pejorative industry term for a safety professional who merely enforces safety rules and ignores the why and the relationships that are key to effectiveness. - A security or public safety officer, like you might find on the campus of a college or medical facility. - An OSHA compliance officer, who works for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and comes to job sites to enforce safety regulations. People in safety need these skills if they are to succeed; Effective communication Empathy Ability to Influence Business Acumen Ability to Train and Mentor Investigation fundamentals Conflict Resolution skills Public Speaking ability Knowledge of the subject. Anyone entering this filed has chosen a Nobel cause. It is to give workers knowledge and understanding to keep themselves, others and the work environment free from harm. Regards Brian

Dear connections !! A post from a Safety professional 📢 So, I hope National safety week is successfully completed at many companies grandly. while this national safety week celebration i saw a post from many organisations which posting like "SAFETY IS OUT TOPMOST PRIORITY" You know all ?? I am really worrying that, is this is true or really implemented in field ?? because the experience I had in different organisations taught me a deep lesson on management support, respect from co workers and clients to safety professionals. without mentioning company name I wish to share some bitter experiences, I have seen or observed in my experience 1. just deploying safety professional for the norms for the compliances and never listen to the words or concerns in terms of safety. 2. even though Some safety professional holding a big position in a organisation , they unable to implement safety initiative as a result of workers opposition, union opposition , micro management, internal politics etc.... 3. prioritize profit over safety still happening in many organisations as I had observed 4. Using safety officer as a site supervisor,HR, admin, security, documents specialist, store officer etc..... 5. Never give a proper respect to safety professionals who safeguard the lives of humans, protect the environment ,prevent the accidents, save the reputation of company, protect the assets of company 6. some clients treating safety professional as a Unneeded , unwanted person at site who always affecting productivity 7. Facing issues from local labours if we instruct them to follow safety are advise them to being safe 8. As usual most experienced persons are there complicated persons to handle , because if a safety professional advise them something , they will say directly I have a vast experience, I know safety , you take care of your duty 9. Recognition, Motivation is the most serious thing in a safety professional life because safety professional , zwe used to give rewards ,recognition ,gifts to best safety followers at site to develop safety culture. but it's very very rare that safety professional gift rewarded for the hard works being done at site really Do you believe still being safety professional is a easiest thing in this community ?? if you think this post is true, then reshare, repost or copy paste it. But at the day ,our aim is simple. we need to rise our voice for us, for safety professionals. #RespectSafetyProfessionals #LetsRaiseVoiceforSafetyProfessionals #SafetyWeekisaMyth #RecognizeSafetyProfessionals #safety #safetyprofessionals

The Strategy Line of Manager - Meet their objectives by the Regulation as obligation; - Meet their objectives by update information and clear description; - Assist their objectives in day-to-day implementation. Front-line worker + Conduct and Supply their knowledge as update as well; + Open a channel or space of the Consultation; + Serve with "Interesting Award" and initiative program; For All of the Lines ==> Collaboration in the first. We need to hear/listen and make them one as many differences of worker background; ==> Competition is the best way to go fast, fast developing. However, sometimes it can make the differences of worker background cannot be clearly defined by the time. #safetymanagementsystems "Kindly please contact me if you have an opportunity in your organization about the occupational Health and Safety "HSE".
