I constructed this from start to finish… It is a multi-sensory tactile schedule for a wide range of learners! It has timers, braille, customized recorded buttons, icons related to the physical objects that match the students schedule. Everything a student needs to have a consistent, hands on schedule that can be easily adjusted if schedules change! #visualschedules, #tactilelearners, #executivefunctioning. #multisendorylearners

Punching activities are an effective way to develop the pincer grip in young learners. ✍️🖐️ By using tools like hole punches or push pins, they practice grasping and controlling small objects with precision. This repetitive action strengthens the muscles in their fingers and hands, laying the groundwork for fine motor skills needed in writing, drawing, and other detailed tasks. 🌟🔍 #FineMotorDevelopment #PincerGrip #HandsOnLearning #MontessoriMethod

Should you switch from red ink to blue ink for marking?✍️ Learning is a journey of self-discovery and discipline. Think back to the days of the Gurukul system, where students learned under the guidance of their gurus. Correction wasn't just about marking mistakes, but a way to encourage reflection, growth, and understanding. The guru’s role was to guide with compassion, and the feedback was given in a way that inspired students rather than intimidated them. Fast forward to today, and we often find ourselves using bright red ink to mark answers. Red has long been associated with mistakes, a colour that stands out boldly, sometimes evoking feelings of anxiety or stress for learners. But should we rethink 🤔this tradition? Imagine instead a gentle blue or a calm green used for corrections—colours that still highlight what needs attention but with a tone of encouragement and growth. Research shows that using softer colours for marking can create a more positive emotional response, encouraging students to engage with feedback constructively rather than feeling discouraged. So, should we move away from red ink 🔴and switch to something more inviting like blue 🔵or green✅? The goal is to promote learning, not fear, 😨and to create an atmosphere where feedback feels like a bridge to understanding, not an obstacle. What are your thoughts? 🤔 Would switching ink colours help make a difference in your classroom? Caprics Learning Lab #school #preschool #education

A case of "I go explain tire..." One of the downsides of great engaging classes I have had, especially with young learners, is how you take your eyes away for a second and the next thing you get to see are some of the most puzzling scenarios the human race has ever been faced with.😃 How did your hands get so dirty when you have protective gloves on? How did you get mud on your backside? Did you sit on mud? How did your shoe get itself up two floors? How come you do not know how you got that big stain on your shirt? What's your school bag doing here? You can't put that inside it! The list is just endless...😃😃😃 And who gets to explain to mummy all of these phenomena science hasn't found an answer for? #experientiallearning #learningbydoing🙌 #learningspree #teachinghacks #teachingwhatmatters #edtechteachers #edtech #handsonlearning #connectionbeforecurriculum #lagosmums #abujamums #ogunmums #blackmothers #mother #teacherlife #doingwhatilove #educationaldeveloper👩🏾🏫 #educationalleadership
