Only with the strong voice of united volunteers we can get a global support and #Victory to #Ukraine. We are launching a new line connecting Kyiv directly with Brussels – a very significant step for us to further bring Ukraine closer to Europe 💙💛.   💪For us at Flix, Ukraine is a part of Europe, and our teams are working tirelessly to ensure that mobility between Ukraine and the rest of Europe can still flow during this terrible war. With this new line, the capital of the European Union is now closer to Ukraine both physically, and symbolically. 🚍The new connection will go from Kyiv over to Berlin, Hanover, Dortmund, Cologne Airport, Liege, and end in Gare du Nord in Brussels. ❗What’s alarming, yet again, is that it took us over 20 months to secure the necessary concessions to operate this line. This highlights a critical issue that must be addressed if we are to truly improve connectivity across Europe. Nevertheless, I am very happy to see another expansion of our Ukraine business and the resilience of the local team, that has led us to quadruple our offer since the war started. Today we have: 🌐28 direct connections to 8 different EU countries ✈️9 of these have stops at airports, meaning you can connect to the rest of Europe as a traveler from Ukraine via bus easily   💚We are committed to supporting Ukraine, and we will continue to develop our business in the region.  As a bonus, here is a picture of the first bus that departed on Wednesday this week

I am delighted to have the opportunity to participate in the «Vidvazhna 2» project, which allows me to implement my vision aimed at rebuilding, supporting, and scaling Ukrainian businesses. Ukrainian business continues to operate effectively even during the war in Ukraine. According to a study by the European Business Association, “52% of Ukrainian companies are operating effectively. This week in Kyiv has been marked by highly significant international events. On September 11, the Fourth Summit of the International Crimea Platform took place, attracting attention to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. With the support of nearly 60 foreign states and organizations, the summit reiterated global commitment to Ukraine’s cause, affirming the Peace Formula of President Zelenskyy and expressing continued backing against russian aggression. Today, another key event took place in Kyiv: the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska, with a focus on children's safety. In today’s world, safety has become a global priority, and this summit emphasized the critical need to protect children, particularly in conflict zones. Participants, including representatives from Finland, Estonia, and France, as well as global education leaders, shared insights on creating secure environments for children at home, school, and in digital spaces. These summits are a testament to Ukraine's resilience and determination, showcasing the power of international solidarity and the shared responsibility to build a safer future for all. #Ukraine

Three Seas Summit in Vilnius The three seas initiative (3SI) was holding its 9th summit in #Vilnius Lithuania on the 11th of April 2022. I had an opportunity to discuss the summit and its outcome with the Polish TVP Info television. Here are the main points - The 3SI's significance is largely symbolic and consultative. The forum represents a gathering of #CentralEuropean states (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia) which are also EU member states. Ukraine and Moldova are associated members. The highlight of the Vilnius Forum was the attendance of President #Zelenskyy - The 3SI failed to bring tangible practical results. With the exception of Poland other participants are slow or completely unwilling to invest into the 3SI Fund, which was designed to support infrastructural projects in the region. - The #3SI is geopolitically incoherent. It brings the states who support Ukraine but also some backers of the Russian agenda. - The initiative had some momentum at its outset - with the strong backing from Poland and Croatia - but currently fails to attract attention.

Joint Israeli-Ukrainian Enterprise Will Be Successful for Israel and Ukraine, - Evgeny Shulgin Evgeny Shulgin, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Israel-Ukraine, in his interview with Liga.net, spoke about the Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation. Israel and Ukraine have their strong sides: Israel is well-known for its technologies and innovations, and Ukraine has powerful production facilities. It is a perfect combination when technologies and production facilities unite (investments are also needed, and they could be found in Israel). So cooperation between Ukraine and Israel could be mutually beneficial. Now Ukraine needs innovative projects and technologies, as well as a connection between Ukrainian and world projects. Ukraine has the potential to become an economically prosperous country. To reach this goal, Ukraine has to develop a strategy and stick to it. Investing in Ukraine During Wartime Friends, the «TREK» e-ticketing system in Varash City is not only a progressive and convenient tool for users, but also an example of an investment project during the war that proves that investors understand the great potential of Ukraine and the importance of Ukrainian innovative projects, invest in the country's growth even in challenging economic conditions.   GIS actively cooperates with the President of the Revival Foundation, Aksenia Krupenko, an ethnic Ukrainian who lived in the USA for 15 years. Over the past two years, since the war began, Revival Foundation has delivered 13 planes, 35 sea containers, and 650 tons of cargo to Ukraine. In cooperation with Ukrainian foundations «Nadia» and «Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv», the Revival Foundation carries out extensive humanitarian work in Ukraine, helping Ukrainians affected by the war. Revival Foundation also founded the «Food for Good» program to support Ukrainian producers and supply food to civilians in the combat zone.   GIS company and Revival Foundation are partners who combine investment and innovation to improve people's lives. They show that in difficult times, when despair, hopelessness, and decline prevail in the country, it is vital to introduce progressive technologies that simplify bureaucratic procedures. Such cooperation is a role model that reveals to investors the unlimited potential of Ukrainians and the rapid progress in the sphere of new technologies implemented in Ukraine. The introduction of the e-ticket in Varash City is not only the desire of the progressive community for European standards and passenger comfort but also a testimony to the resilience and faith in the future of Ukraine because American private investments during the war are a step towards uniting the efforts of the modern community and business for the sake of improving living conditions for people and the beginning of construction of social and infrastructure facilities. Let me take you back to last week's #UkraineRecoveryConference held in Berlin. It was a great honour to be part of this high-level political event which took the big focus of my work in the last months. Representing ITU Europe, we emphasized the urgent need for reconstructing Ukraine’s #digitalinfrastructure, which requires $4.67 billion. I am happy to lead with the team the facilitation of such help, especially in rehabilitating the #broadcasting sector with a #buildbackbetter approach. Although digital topics weren't in the spotlight, no need to remind - #connectivity and #digitalservices like #Diia, the #DREAM project, support for #startups and #SMEs, development of the #innovations are crucial for Ukraine's recovery & everyday resilience. Top takeaways for those who work with Ukraine:  1️⃣ Stay connected with Ukrainian colleagues—needs and recovery speeds always change.  2️⃣ Build strong #local #partnerships with regions and communities.  3️⃣ Support ongoing #reforms, especially for the #EUaccession process, a top priority for Ukraine. It was such pleasure & happiness seeing so many friends, civil society activists and colleagues from Ukraine, Brussels, Geneva, and across Europe - all dedicated to supporting Ukraine and working in different areas. These are the people driving changes. People who connect the dots 💙💛. At the #URC24, many dots were connected to foster the provision of critical help to Ukraine now in the war & set many recovery processes thanks to the outstanding organization by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) & Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany. Hopefully next year we will only focus on the recovery of Ukraine at #URC in Italy.
