Our Decommissioning Insight 2023 report offers a unique overview of the challenges and market opportunities in the sector which involve some of the biggest and most complex engineering projects ever faced in the North Sea. Key Findings 👇 ➡️ Shutting down obsolete North Sea energy installations is a business opportunity worth more than £20 billion over the next decade. ➡️ North Sea oil and gas production is declining by 7% a year, even with the latest round of new licences issued. ➡️ There are currently 283 active oil and gas fields in the North Sea. By 2030, 180 will have ceased production. Closing them without ongoing management of decline through new licensed production will mean a loss of homegrown energy which provides security and adds value to the economy. 🔗 Read the report: https://ow.ly/cpzk50RiWOb

By treating decommissioning as an integral part of the project lifecycle and adopting a cradle-to-cradle approach, oil and gas companies can transform a traditionally costly afterthought into a well-managed process. Bringing together cross-functional teams, conducting scenario planning, and embracing collaboration and innovation are key. Let's prioritise a holistic approach to decommissioning, to ensure sustainability, efficiency, and excellence in our operations. #Decommissioning #ProjectLifecycle #OilAndGas #Innovation #Sustainability #Collaboration #RiskManagement

C- Suite CEO of Offshore Dimensions Limited & Founder/CEO of Blossomflow Empowerment Foundation & Director Petrolog LTD
Navigating the Oil & Gas Industry – A CEO’s Perspective: flexibility As leader with over 27 years in the Oil and Gas industry, flexibility is one of our greatest assets. The ability to adapt not only in operations but in conversations is crucial. One of the key lessons I’ve learned as CEO of Offshore Dimensions Limited is this: Don’t insist on starting a conversation on a topic you had in mind—start where others are focused. Ask yourself: - What is in the news today? - What are my competitors or industry peers talking about? When you engage with what’s relevant, you position yourself and your business as responsive and in touch with the ever-changing landscape of our industry. Sometimes, that means shifting the conversation to meet the moment, whether it’s evolving energy policies, technological advancements, or new market trends. This flexibility allows us to stay ahead of the curve, remain competitive, and foster more meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. After all, the best leaders aren’t just the ones who speak—they’re the ones who listen, adapt, and then lead with relevance. Stay tuned for more insights on navigating the Oil & Gas industry with agility and purpose! #Leadership #CEOPerspective #OilAndGas #Flexibility #IndustryTrends #OffshoreDimensions #Adaptability #EnergyIndustry #BusinessGrowth
