ADGM (Abu Dhabi Global Market)announced fees reduction 👇🏻📣 Starting from 1st January 2025, ADGM will implement major reductions of 50% or more for obtaining non-financial and retail licences within its jurisdiction. This initiative aims to enhance ADGM's business ecosystem, making it more attractive and accessible for various enterprises. Under the revised fee schedule, new registrations within the non-financial category of businesses will see fees reduced from $10,000 to $5,000. In contrast, the annual licence renewal fees for the same category will decrease from $8,000 to $5,000. The revised licensing fees will become effective on the expiry of the current transition period, which ends on December 31, 2024. The new fee structure will be applicable across ADGM's jurisdiction, which includes Al Maryah and Al Reem Island. Stay tuned for more such updates

In the first half of 2024, the Abu Dhabi Global Market ("ADGM") demonstrated significant growth, issuing 1,271 new licenses, a 20.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The assets under management (AUM) within ADGM rose by an impressive 226%, reflecting the growing appeal of ADGM as a global financial hub. The number of asset and fund managers operating in ADGM increased to 112, managing 141 funds. Additionally, ADGM's expansion into Al Reem Island contributed to a residential boom, with occupancy rates surpassing 92%. The workforce within ADGM also expanded by over 2,500 employees, further solidifying Abu Dhabi's position as a leading financial centre. Al Reem Island Abu Dhabi businesses need to transfer their mainland DED license to ADGM license. DEADLINES For retailers/ retail businesses on Al Reem Island, the deadline to convert their business licences is by 30th March 2024. All other commercial companies have until 31st December 2024 to convert their licence or move from Al Reem Island. The ADGM Authority are incentivizing quick action in converting ADDED business licences to ADGM licences. If a company transfers their business from ADDED to ADGM licence in Q1 (by March 2024) then ADGM will absorb the government transfer fee and no government transfer fees will fall to the client.
