818 is a proud Allied Gold Member of The American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa)—and this week, we were thrilled to see our client JouJou Des Moines featured in the Fall 2024 issue of their prestigious Iowa Architect Magazine! JouJou is an indoor playspace nestled into 2600 square feet of a historic Des Moines building in the Roosevelt Cultural District. Inside, you'll find a space filled with moments to inspire connectedness for parents and children—with plenty of play! Perfect for children aged four months to five years, JouJou is inspired by Montessori principles, such as the concept of prepared environments, taking cues from sensitive periods, and leaning into the natural world. In early 2021, we worked with the team at JouJou to design a unique brand identity for their unique business. We created a robust logo family, playful patterns and textures, a brand guidelines document, and marketing assets to assist the brand across various applications. You can see some of our designs captured in the article’s beautiful featured photographs. Read the article in Iowa Architect’s Digital Issue here! https://lnkd.in/gHYe_TAq...
