The more I think about human-AI interface the more I get excited about using AI as the interface between humans instead... Internet removed the requirement of being in the same location and unlocked connecting people at global scale. Now there are billions of us connected and producing vast amount of content. There is too much to navigate and it's gonna get much worse. Search was first step, but I think AI (with robust understanding of natural language, images, etc) can provide much better interface at scale. Not just understanding the world's knowledge but also understanding the user (their interests, emotions, etc). Here is a great talk by Andy Matuschak envisioning AI as interface for learning: combining implicit learning (doing projects) and guided learning (typical school) in a scalable way.
