Celebrating a Decade of Greatness! 🎉🎈
Friends, followers, and loyal customers! Today, we are here to celebrate a spectacular milestone: our 10th anniversary as a company! 🥳🎊
Yes, you read that right! Ten years filled with laughter, challenges, and above all, success!
From our humble beginnings, we've embarked on adventures that could rival the best Hollywood movies. 🎬✨
Remember when we started in the garage next to the grandmother of diaper pants, with just a tabletop lathe and a bunch of crazy ideas? Well, since then, we've grown bigger than that bunch of crazy ideas, and that's saying a lot!
We've faced more obstacles than we can count: from technical issues that made us sweat more than a marathon in the desert, to emergency meetings that kept us up until the wee hours of the night. But each challenge has made us stronger, more resilient, and, well, sometimes a bit grayer due to stress, but that doesn't matter!
We keep moving forward!
However, it hasn't all been hard work and tears (though there were some of those too). We've shared moments of pure joy and camaraderie.
So here we are, raising our cups of coffee (or tea, or juice, or whatever makes you smile in the mornings!) to toast to another 10 years of successes, challenges, and above all, fun.
Thank you for 10 incredible years!
The Ejematic Team 🚀🎉

Next week marks my 1-year anniversary serving at Simmons Capital Group and Steward Advisors Group. Here are some of the principles and goodies I've gleaned in this past season:
💰 People > Profit. Sustainable business has been a result of relationships, integrity, and culture.
🧠 Money effects everyone differently, but it does effect us.
☀️ It is powerful to see someone's stress leave their shoulders and eyes in a moment, simply by bringing clarity their situation. Truth and honesty is POWERFUL.
📈 Most people resonate moving away from sufficiency ("Do I have enough?") and towards efficiency ("What CAN I do with the resources I have?").
⁉️ Many people struggle with the transition from working, steady income, and saving to a work optional lifestyle and drawing income from investments. I would guess this comes from the sufficiency problem (listed above) and limited data set of understanding how things operate.
🎙️ I am BLOWN AWAY how much I love this work and how purpose-driven it is. Ministry and caring for others doesn't stop when you engage the business world. In many ways, my ability to love and serve others has amplified!
Many other things to note, but this is enough for now. I am very thankful for this new adventure! Further up and further in, as they say.
Cheers to ONE Environmental Managing Principal J. Rusty Field PE who is celebrating his 15-year work anniversary! Back in 2009, Rusty envisioned a customer-centered company that prioritizes lasting, meaningful relationships over the bottom line when he and his partners founded ONE. And the rest is history, as they say. Learn more about Rusty on our blog! https://bit.ly/3yJdDxF
Please join us in congratulating Matthew Krause on his 10 year work anniversary! We sat down with Matthew to talk about his tenure at Krause, his accomplishments, and the many lessons learned over the years.
Q: What is the key to staying successful in your 10-year tenure?
A: "The key has been a combination of adaptability and a deep passion for innovation. Over the past decade, I’ve embraced new trends, challenges, and opportunities, always staying curious and driven to deliver unique and inspiring solutions."
Q: What is the most important lesson you have learned in the last 10 years?
A: "The most valuable lessons I’ve learned happened when everything was “going wrong.” It is in these moments where we have the choice to give up or use it as fuel for growth. It is the power of collaboration. While individual creativity is important, the most successful projects are born from a team effort, where diverse ideas come together to create something truly remarkable."
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: "It is an interesting thing summing up one’s experiences over the course of 10 years. I’m incredibly proud of our team and leadership’s ability to push creative solutions and not being satisfied with the “status quo.” Over the decade, I was given opportunities to use my creativity nature to lead several in-house advancements to the company. This has not only brought fresh, creative solutions to our internal team, but also experiences to our clients that has had a lasting impact on Krause’s outreach. Each one stands as a testament to the importance of a company that allows you the ability to stay curious about the world around each of us and the community at large. Hard work and passion are at the core of our entire team."
Q: With a decade of experience under your belt, do you have any advice to up-and-coming individuals in your field?
A: "Be a shark, in the best possible way. Adapt to change, stay curious, seek out your interests, embrace challenges, never stop moving forward, and learn all you can, while you can."
Lucky 7! I'm probably due for a post, so here's 7 things that have made me feel pretty lucky in the last 7 years...
1. Invaluable exposure. I have a front-row seat to watch business leaders of all ages and maturity levels as they approach the same question: how can we solve this business problem with software?
2. Having chances to learn from mistakes. I am not the same professional I was 7 years ago!
3. Having advocates in leadership that have mentored me to a seat at the leadership table.
4. Getting to spend a lot of time at the Denver office! Shoutout to Catalyst.
5. The financial stability and work-life balance to have creative hobbies.
6. Finding a passion in age-tech and being supported by ForytAU to organize a pitch competition.
7. Having a license to build my network. I've made some great friends along the way.
Once upon a time, a dear friend, who was much older and smarter, said to a much younger me, who was lamenting the difficulties of adulting: "you have the hardware, you just need the software!"
Isn't the universe cheeky?
Caroline McGowan has had quite the career since studying Philosophy at Portland State University and probably never dreamt she'd be leading the charge for our sales team! Caroline is often the first face that people see when they get introduced to FortyAU. She has transformed into a strategic thinker with a bright smile, she dives into difficult problems with both empathy and tenacity. A talented artist, she puts her creativity to work for her clients and always working to get them the best deal possible. Thank you for all your hard work and congratulations on your work anniversary! 🎉
Today, I recognize one of my greatest career accomplishments: celebrating my 13th anniversary with my husband Robert Maloney. We actually met at work, but more significant is the time we have spent growing into leadership roles in different industries (he had a head start) during COVID, rapidly changing and uncertain workplace dynamics and evolving business structures -- while also raising a young family.
When we do get quiet moments late at night, we commiserate over shared work challenges and celebrate each other's milestones. This has often reaffirmed our values that we hope to model for our children:
- Pride in work. We don't take our responsibilities lightly or those of our teams'.
- Humor. We might take our work seriously, but not ourselves and find the absurd in everything.
- Mentorship. It shaped our own work ethic, and we wish we could find more space to guide our teams.
- Resourcefulness. It's a lost art and why God invented Google.
- Gratitude. We pause to remind ourselves of the privilege we've been given in our roles - even during moments of frustration.
It's not been an easy road, and balance usually eludes us. We have different styles and approaches, but marriage -- like business partnerships - benefits from those who have complementary skills committed to a single mission and shared values. While this might all seem very unromantic, it's actually served us well in our personal and professional lives - and makes us appreciate each other more.
Today, we celebrate Tracy Czach’s one-year milestone with the Marc Pollak Team. Tracy, your dedication, passion, and hard work have been nothing short of inspiring. Here’s to the countless achievements and memorable moments we’ve shared so far. We’re excited for many more years of success and growth together!
Let’s give Tracy a big shout-out in the comments below! 👏🥳
