This a great initiative and could we please join this up by recognising the clear and imperative need for accessible (mainstream) housing. 24% of the UK population is "disabled" as defined under the Equality Act. 1 in 3 households have a member who is disabled. Yet, the English Housing survey suggests just 9% of housing stock has even basic access features. Developing robust planning policy that delivers housing which is socially and financially sustainable for all of our current and future selves is essential (including those of us who will acquire neurological conditions such as dementia).
