When you become a mom, it’s easy to forget that you need to take time for yourself, too. Myopia may be sneaky, but early detection is the key! 🕵️♂️ Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a common refractive error that causes distant objects to appear blurry. Regular eye exams are essential for detecting myopia, as optometrists can measure the degree of nearsightedness and prescribe corrective lenses accordingly. Early identification of myopia in children is crucial, as it allows for interventions like orthokeratology or specialized contact lenses that may help slow its progression. Keep an eye out for signs, and schedule regular checkups to maintain crystal-clear vision.
