They're looking for a Company Secretary/Compliance Officer (Key Managerial Personnel) with 2 years of experience for 35-40k to handle an SME IPO. Given the high cost of living in Gurgaon, it's surprising to see such a low offer for this level of expertise. As a community, we should raise awareness about the value and scope of our profession. Company Secretaries bring more to the table than compliance; the time, resources, money, and hard work that go into gaining this knowledge and expertise shouldn't be undervalued. A 35-40k salary should be the minimum base for freshers, and by no means it reflects the industry standards that these vacancies seem to set. I can't recall similar vacancies for other professions at such pay. We shouldn't promote these positions; instead, we should advocate for fair compensation that reflects our contributions, ensuring the profession evolves and remains respected.
