Wednesday Recap: Day two of the Airport Operations and Technology Conference was packed with working group meetings, engaging breakout sessions, and insightful plenary discussions. We covered topics such as AI's role in improving safety and efficiency, as well as how new and existing technologies can address rising safety challenges. The day also offered plenty of networking opportunities with exhibitors and peers courtesy of our sponsors, Eagle Aerospace (Team Eagle Ltd.), Illuminex, JACI Inc., Safe Software Inc., and Esri (Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc.) Thanks again to all attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and San Jose Mineta International Airport for making this year's symposium so successful #AirportOpsAndTech

Webinar: Essential Discussions about Non-Terrestrial Networks for 6G May 16 2024, 10:00am CEST Free registration at ETSI.org Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs) are wireless communication platforms operating above the surface of the Earth, typically achieved using satellites in low, medium or geostationary orbit as well as drones, High Altitude Platforms (HAPS) and other aerial systems. A component of 5G since 3GPP Release 17, there is now general agreement that future 6G will feature the “native integration” of NTN from the outset. Recognizing the importance of the topic, ETSI recently held a Conference on ‘Non-Terrestrial Networks, a Native Component of 6G’ (https://lnkd.in/eb4Cv8ae). The conference examined NTN use cases, candidate technologies, current research status and standardization roadmaps. Due to the intense interest in the 6G and NTN topics, this ETSI webinar will allow further discussion around the topic and on the priority areas for 6G and NTN. We will encourage strong audience participation during the event where the experts will answer your questions and get your thoughts / feedback on the future directions for NTN in 6G.

On an eternal quest to curate meaningful intelligence for the uncrewed community - let’s make it real together!
More #XPO24 reflection: - The quality of every discussion (except one short-lived mansplaining occurrence 🙄 ) seemed elevated this year. We're evolving from making cool stuff to an understanding and appreciation of what else it takes to aviate safely and securely in the NAS. #progress - The tech maturity is showing repeatable consistency across a broad set of applications. #ASTM standards and #GreenUAS and #BlueUAS programs will help us normalize into performance-based risk measures that are system-agnostic. We need to do this quickly - and securely. #twosidesofthesamecoin - With higher levels of technical and operational maturity, embarking on collaborative partnerships is the next accelerator. My sincere thanks to the #Louisiana team Houma Terrebonne Airport Commission, Andrea Dupre, MBAA, Mert Pellegrin, George Rey, and David Decou; the #MassDOT team Scott Uebelhart, Rudy Cuevas, and Robin Grace; the #NorthDakota team Trevor Woods, Erin Roesler; to Catherine Cahill of #Alaska; and Christopher Todd from #Droneresponders who all allowed me the privilege of offering collaborative opportunity discussions to accelerate their missions. We had some fantastic conversation and I can't wait to see how you take those next steps!! I feel like LinkedIn needs to expand their character limitations #wordnerd
