From the desk of Paul Donofrio CEO Canadian Truck Warranty Inc. Trucking in winter can be extremely dangerous, and demands a specific set of skills to be able to safely reach your destination. As we head into the midst of a gray and cold winter, it’s important to continue protecting fleet operations when driving in adverse weather conditions. The short, cold days will continue, it’s important to check that you have the right equipment before you start your journey, especially during the harsh winter months. Make sure you are ready for every possible situation and be sure to have your extended warranty that includes roadside assistance and downtime from Canadian Truck Warranty Proudly Canadian Operated. #truckingindustry #transportation #truckfleet #trucks #truckdrivers #drivesafe #truckwarranty #proudlycanadian #truckdealership #staywarm sales@ctwarranty.ca

In today's post we explore the world of semi-trucks. Let's discuss the most common types in North America. 🚚 1. Flatbed Trucks These trucks are characterized by a long, flat platform with no sides or roof. This design makes them versatile and suitable for transporting large and oddly-shaped loads that wouldn’t fit in an enclosed trailer. 2. Reefer Trucks Reefer trucks are essentially mobile refrigerators. They have insulated, temperature-controlled trailers that can be set to keep cargo at specific temperatures, making them perfect for transporting perishable goods. 3. Dry Vans Dry vans are the most common type of semi truck you’ll see on the road. They’re enclosed trailers designed to protect cargo from weather and road debris, making them ideal for transporting non-perishable goods. 4. Tanker Trucks As the name implies, tanker trucks are equipped with large tanks, making them suitable for transporting liquids or gases. This can range from harmless substances like milk or water to hazardous materials like chemicals, fuel, or liquid natural gas. 5. Lowboy Trucks Lowboy trucks are a type of flatbed with two height levels, and they sit lower to the ground compared to standard flatbed trucks. This design allows them to transport tall and heavy items. 6. Car Carriers Also known as auto transport trucks or auto carriers, these vehicles are designed to transport passenger vehicles, often from manufacturers to dealerships. Want to know how to choose the right one? Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/3SsWcIW We also discuss freight truck fundamentals, economic significance, and the future of trucking. #Freight #SemiTrucks #Trucking
