Every year the same dilemma: which expo to join. SNEC in China or Intersolar in Germany. -Based on my experience, China is the place where you can find the latest know-how of inverters, batteries, modules and components. And this the place where majority of that is developed and produced. -Intersolar in the other hand is a follow-up of what was presented at SNEC with a concentration to EU market in a more relaxed expo vibe. That's what makes SNEC a "must" and Intersolar "if there's time" Additionally there is a more academic PV-SEC in autumn, which gives a look behind the curtins: how good or bad all those new developments really are.

I am not a huge fan of exhibitions that just simply tack on a conference to the end or vice vearsa. The reason I’m not a fan is that the “tack on” piece seems just like that…an afterthought. However when it`s done properly it`s hugely powerful and attracts serious industry people, dignitaries and high level buyers. One thing that struck me about Baku Energy Week | BEW and Baku Energy Forum is the level of delegate. I don’t think I have seen so many really important key people in one room at one time. A great example of how exhibitions and conferences work together here in Azerbaijan. As I head back to Ireland early am tomorrow, I’m really inspired that our industry is in a great place.
