🌟 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🌟 At Heartware Network, we are committed to youth development and believe that empowering our young people with opportunities to lead and give back is key to creating a brighter future for all. One of the ways we achieve this is through the 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲-𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, where our youths volunteer their time to conduct reading sessions with children—helping raise literacy levels while also fostering the joy of learning. In these weekly sessions, our passionate youth volunteers not only guide children through reading but also create meaningful, interactive activities that consolidate learning. Through this process, the children benefit from increased literacy skills, greater confidence in reading, and enhanced social skills, while the volunteers gain valuable experience in leadership, communication, and community engagement. Here’s what some of the educators from Admiralty Primary School had to say: "Our children look forward to the sessions with the volunteers and have fun every Monday. We appreciate how the volunteers improvise activities to consolidate learning for the children after leading them through the reading. We can definitely see not just an increase in students' confidence in reading but also observe their social skills being enhanced. Thank you, volunteers, for your time." Through this programme, we are not just building better readers—we are building confident, compassionate leaders of tomorrow. Our volunteers are developing the skills and mindset needed to create positive change in our society, one child at a time. #YouthDevelopment #Volunteerism #RaisingLiteracy #HeartwareNetwork #TanotoFoundation #LearningTogether #CommunityImpact #LeadershipInAction

Charter school myth: “charter schools don’t serve students with disabilities”. This is one I hear all the time - yet a simple data review tells a very different story. In RI, 13% of charter school students have IEPs, as compared to 17% statewide. This small difference is exacerbated by family choice, where some families may have received incorrect information about the support available in charter schools and choose not to apply. Charter schools are public schools, and as such are held accountable to meeting the needs of ALL students. Small class sizes, low leadership turnover and missions aligned to inclusion lend themselves well to this work. #charterschools #charterfacts #schoolchoice #proudpublicschools

Today's Parent Council/School Council Meeting was a great reminder of the crucial leadership and facilitation skills that school leaders need to cultivate (all of which we must refine forever!) Holding calm and respectful space for tension, leading and facilitating tough conversations, actively facilitating for equity of voice, and being transparent with data are just a few examples. It's important to remember our collective ownership of the outcomes of ALL students, and that parent voice is critical to our success. Educators are humans who are learning and growing, and caregivers are a child's first teacher and have hopes and dreams for those children. By recognizing the value of bringing parents and educators together, we can lead engaging and meaningful meetings that lead to progress. And...we must provide easy childcare options to ensure everyone can participate. #EducationLeadership #EquityAndInclusion

Fostering Strong Family Bonds and the Integration of Faith-Based Values: Homeschooling emphasizes family-centric education, allowing parents to play a more active role in their children's learning journey. By introducing homeschooling to parents in the church, you promote an educational approach that fosters strong family bonds. Church leaders and experienced homeschooling parents willing to lend their knowledge and counsel to other families can become a supportive community where families share the teaching load, resources, and encouragement in the way of a "homeschool co-op" or "Church Schoolhouse." This aligns with the church's commitment to nurturing strong family values and providing a supportive network for its members who wish to exit the public school system, teaching their children at home and weekly/bi-weekly at their local Church Schoolhouse, rather than taking a back seat while the State disciples them. Educating within a church community allows for seamlessly integrating faith-based values into the educational experience. Parents and church leaders can incorporate a Biblical worldview and Godly standards/morals, ensuring that education is not only academically enriching but also spiritually grounding. This alignment between education and faith strengthens the church community's commitment in assisting every family who wishes to homeschool. The church makes it possible because they open their doors weekly or semi-weekly to homeschooling families who desire community while teaching and taking classes with their children at the Schoolhouse. By introducing homeschooling to a church congregation, the leadership board creates an environment that supports both academic and spiritual growth, reinforcing the sense of community and shared values within the church. The pastor and church leaders, recognizing current trends of the mass exodus from the public school system (K-12), affords these families "a place to land," facilitating a strong solution to parents who wish to disciple their own children under the covering of a local church body. www.ChurchSchoolhouse.com
