We're bringing AI to football with our gesture-controlled game at #IBC2024! ⚽🏟🥅   Promwad showcased a one-of-a-kind experience where visitors played a demo of our AI-based football game. Players used gestures to select the goal segment for penalty shots, and our AI analysed how close their prediction was, providing real-time commentary.    📺 Using real broadcast fragments, the demo highlights AI's potential to personalise content dynamically.    But it doesn't stop there! Today's Main Stage presentation at NAB Show, "How Generative AI is Changing the Game", moderated by renowned Thursday Night Football 🏈 broadcaster Kaylee Hartung, included discussion with a panel of experts across sports & technology with a packed house in attendance. Scott Gutterman, Senior Vice President Digital Operations, PGA TOUR, shared "We are moving from a human-driven way to capture all scores and ball flight on the course to an image-driven way with AI, which combines inputs from all the cameras and radar we put on the tees and greens. Now, we can actually calculate within a few feet where the ball will land from the moment it's hit."⛳ Real world generative AI applications for sports are leading the way in increasing fan engagement with more insights, accessible information & personalization not previously possible. As former #fieldhockey player (Hockeyclub Nuenen) it is alway nice to read about #innovation in this field. Field hockey uses a small ball with super-fast changes of position and feints that are hard to follow, even for connoisseurs. This means that it is not easy to capture the sport on video. In the article witten by Bart Brouwers for Innovation Origins, titled "5G, AI, and smart algorithms can help capture the field hockey game properly on video", he writes about Bart van den Acker and his team at #EHTV+ (an initiative of Scorrd and EuroHockey) who developed a system that uses #sensors near the #field to detect exactly where the ball (and thus the game to be imaged) is and links that to the desired movements of the cameras around the field.
