Customer Journey Mapping: Where the Game Will Be Changed for Yay Nuts If there’s one tool that has indeed revolutionized the way we know our audience, that must be Customer Journey Mapping. Recently, we spent time mapping out the potential journey a customer might take before deciding to buy Yay Nuts. It's essentially a series of interactions, from the first search to checkout and let me tell you, this exercise was a game changer. Here’s how it helped us: Creating Content That Resonates We realized pretty quickly that one key interaction for our audience is searching for snacks on Google. So, we dove into tools like Answer the Public to understand what terms people were searching for. The result? Content ideas aligned directly with what our audience wants to know. Snack trends? Health benefits? Now we do it all for the things that actually matter. Locating New Bases of Customers Journey mapping really forced us to think of an audience greater than what we’d normally target. We realized there’s a whole new segment of customers we hadn’t considered before somewhat hidden potential. Now, we can pinpoint and address them with very specific messaging. Driving Product Innovation It also allowed us to better understand where customers would like to see us improve our product. Inspired by this research, we’re taking steps to refine and innovate. Stay tuned exciting things are on the horizon! One Step Ahead Probably the biggest win was identifying potential pain or delight points for our customers. When you know where the challenges lie, you can fix them before they become a problem. It’s all about being proactive, not reactive. Creating a Customer-First Mindset Arguably the most valuable outcome? This exercise really cemented a customer-focused mindset across every department at Yay Nuts. From product development to marketing, we’re all aligned around what our customers need first. Customer Journey Mapping is not a strategy but a frame of mind.
