By addressing lysine and methionine deficiencies through supplementation, dairy farmers can improve the efficiency of nutrient utilization in grazing cows, ultimately promoting better milk yields, milk solids and maintaining the health and of the herd. When discussing our solutions that harness the power of butyrate we often mention how it occurs naturally in the intestine of humans, poultry and swine alike. But do you know how it gets there? It is actually created in the intestine by bacteria by means of fermentation taking place there. Bacteroides and Firmicutes are the predominant bacteria to produce butyrate in the intestinal tract. For example they use undigested starch, fermentable dietary fibers, and small amounts of endogenous and dietary proteins as their raw material to create these molecules. #butyrate #butyricacid #SCFA #guthealth
