Photo by @daisygilardini / Portrait of a baboon at first morning light. While it’s pretty simple to achieve rim light photos in the studio, it’s a whole other ballgame when in the field with wildlife. There are many factors that have to come together at the same time. Firstly, you need a really dark background. Second, you need low light behind the subject. And third, you need your subject to be right in front of the light source. Pre-visualizing this kind of situation is essential so that you can be ready, with the right camera settings, if and when the bear decides to position himself right at the desired spot. It’s essential to anticipate and be ready when that happens, because usually you only have a few seconds to shoot before the baboon moves on. It’s a lot of work, and involves patience and luck. It’s extremely rewarding, though, when it all come together. #baboon #Africa #Botswana #ChobeNationalPark #safari #wildlifephotography #backlighting

It's good to see a baby black rhino with its mother. Unfortunately these animals are close to extinction because of human greed and stupid beliefs. Rhino horn is made of keratin (the same as our hair and finger nails) and is about as useful a remedy as my hair and fingernails! Unfortunately these animals may be de-horned as a way of protecting them from humans. This picture will be available in a forthcoming fine art collection. #rhino, #rhinos, #rhinolover, #buyart, #photographsforsale, #wildlifephotography, #conservationphotography, #conservation, #stopoaching, #protectwildlife, #travelphotography, #travel, #adventure, #exploration, #traveltheworld, #protectwildlife, #savetherhino, #stopextinction

Since now I am in agriculture. I have studied closely. It’s good to create awareness but would not resolve problems. many businesses and homeowners are stepping up to help by installing honey bee hives on rooftops and in backyards across the country. But according to Scott Black, executive director of the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, “Keeping honey bees to ‘save the bees’ is like raising chickens to save birds.” Native bees in peril International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Bumblebee Specialist Group, 28 percent of North America’s 47 bumble bee species “face some level of extinction risk.” These include several once-common and widespread species such as the rusty patched bumble bee, federally listed as endangered in 2017. The culprits behind native bee declines include pesticides, disease, habitat loss and climate change. But scientists say competition with honey bees may also play a role. If you want to help bees, “the most important thing to do is grow a diversity of flowering native plantsthat bloom throughout all seasons. Donot use unnecessary chemicals pesticides. Donot kill if you accidentally get a 🐝 in your house. May be its Queen which is very important. Let’s help understand.
For this National Geographic photo shoot, Angelina Jolie did not bathe for 7 days because bees are sensitive to smells and will not sting when the smell is too strong. Thousands of bees were flying around the actor during the photo shoot. The session was held in honor of World Bee Day, with Angelina Jolie posing with bees for 18 minutes... a noble and risky gesture to honor the insects that play a fundamental role in our nature.

Here is a fantastic analogy to illustrate the complexity of research and development of innovations. A bad smell is not necessarily an undesirable condition. In the development of disruptive and radical innovations, unaccepted technologies should not necessarily be discarded as trash. At that moment, we simply do not see the potential application in other segments. Failure leads to dissatisfaction, anger, and even frustration. Instead, frustration is a step towards innovation—but only when we learn to control and manage frustration. #innovation #technology #r&d #frustrationleadstoinnovation
