The EU-funded project “Green Recycling Enterprises Engaging in New Technology for a Circular Economy in Zambia (GREEN Tech 4CE) The European Union Delegation to Zambia and COMESA hosted a presentation of the EU-funded project “GREEN Tech 4CE”, today, 8 October from 10h to 12h at the EU Delegation premises. The project started in July 2024 and is implemented by a consortium led by Self Help Africa, together with the companies Prospero Group, Imani and Tandem. This project is part of the Financing Agreement signed with the Government of Zambia in May 2023 on “Green Economy Promotion and Diversification“ (ACT-61220). The project aims to support the creation and consolidation of MSMEs and start-up companies, particularly created and/or managed by women and young entrepreneurs, which invest in green, circular, climate smart and digital business solutions and create decent jobs along sustainable value chains for goods and services in Zambia. Edo State Strengthens Green Economy Collaboration with IDH Edo State's Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO) and the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) from the Netherlands have solidified their partnership to enhance green economy initiatives. This collaboration includes a new €3 million, five-year programme (NISCOPS II) to support sustainable palm oil production, funded by the Netherlands and UK Governments. The initiative aims to bolster public-private partnerships and attract private sector co-funding.
