*SUPER BOWL TRIVIA ALERT* We take a moment away from the practice of law to prepare for this week's big game. Anyone who knows me well knows my love of sports trivia. In college and in law school, I organized trivia tournaments for charity that were based a format that my dad and grandfather taught me on road trips to various sports events growing up. I usually satisfy my fix at this time of the year by listening to Chris "Mad Dog" Russo's annual super bowl trivia contest, but that contest is not taking place. To fill the void, I have assembled the attached list of questions about the Super Bowl and/or this year's two participants. They generally progress from easier to more difficult throughout. I welcome all participants (just submit your forms via email to MOG@gatewood-law.com ... and if you want a Word version of the document, just shoot me an email). There are 80 questions with 175 points possible. I will send the person who scores the most points a championship trophy and will announce the top 5 scores next week. (No research or googling is allowed!). Even if you don't think you will fare well, if you make an attempt I will send you the answer key so that you can impress your friends and family during Sunday's game. Feel free to share with anyone you may know who is a sports fan. Good luck! (you'll need it)

The Mill Craft Bar + Kitchen at 4810 Calgary Trail South, Edmonton, will be hosting a fundraiser for the R&R Empowering Society of Alberta to help individuals from diverse backgrounds learn from each other's experiences and knowledge with regard to people, cultural and professional skills required to navigate through life and build a cohesive, successful society. The Story... On December 19, 2016, my husband and I found our two sons, Ryder (13) and Radek (11) murdered by their biological father at his home in Spruce Grove, AB. My sons moved there just three months earlier in order to play hockey at a higher level. In the minutes, days and months following their deaths, I couldn’t imagine how my life could move forward without them, but I did remember lying in their beds that fateful night and making them a promise to keep their legacies alive and let the world know their names. Yesterday morning Tasker Goodchild and Tracy Stark were hosted on Global television to speak to the event. To learn more about Tracy's story, find details about this event, and purchase tickets visit our website at www.sawmill.ca https://lnkd.in/e_Je3m6F

On behalf of Big-Brothers-Big-Sisters-of-Northeast-Wisconsin, Gallagher is taking part in Miles for Matches, and I’m asking for your support to help at-risk youth. It would mean so much to me if you could make a donation as our team bikes to help the future generations here in Wisconsin: https://lnkd.in/gBTvnzJz Research shows that children matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin's programs are more likely to remain in school, earn a college degree, improve social confidence and avoid risky behavior. Children in the #BBBSNEW program are: ~52% more likely to remain in school ~75% more likely to earn a four-year degree ~48% more likely to volunteer ~81% more likely to hold a leadership role in an organization In addition, an anonymous donor has generously offered to match donations raised during Miles for Matches! This means that every dollar donated will be doubled, making twice the impact on the lives of children in Northeast Wisconsin. If your employer matches funds, like Gallagher does, we stand the chance even to triple our impact! Again, your support means the world to me and to the children who need the positive impact of caring adult to help them unlock and achieve their full potential! #LifeAtGallagher Scott Sherman Christine Meyer Tom Lannen William Ziebell Adam Wolff

Golf for the HEROs Vision and Motivation: Enhancing the Game of Golf: We aim to foster new relationships and enhance the game of golf through innovative tournament concepts that allow professionals to compete alongside beginners. Inspiration from Mentorship: Inspired by my mentor, Dick Garn, and his Oldsmobile Scramble, I designed the Big Blitz to provide a unique tournament experience leveraging modern technology. Key Features: Financial Structure: One of the most significant features of the Big Blitz is the ability to use 20% of the fees to support PGA HOPE, The HERO Project, and the Wounded Warriors Project while awarding 70% to the prize pool. This ensures substantial support for noble causes and a significant return for participants. Event Types: We offer various event types to cater to different preferences: $10 winner-take-all $10 and $26 events with one winner for every 10 participants $25 events with one winner for every 40 entries Inclusivity and Accessibility: The format includes a free-to-play component and ensures that participation does not impact amateur status, making it accessible to players of all skill levels. Global Reach: With the capability to access the tournament from a smartphone, our goal is to add a global component, connecting golf enthusiasts worldwide. Personal Commitment: Long-Term Dedication: I have been working on these ideas since the late '70s and am committed to their long-term success, believing in their potential to revolutionize the sport. Community and Relationships: Our project aims to bring people together, fostering new relationships within the sports communities. Call to Action: Support and Participation: We are now seeking support to publicize and expand the project. Join us on this journey, contribute to the growth of this innovative golf tournament, and help us support PGA Golf, The HERO Project, and the Wounded Warriors Project. Our website can be found at www.thebigblitz.com. Events are FREE while we build the members' roster. It's National Volunteers Week so here's a little story for you.... One of my voluntary roles is the dream job of being Team Manager for my youngest son's rugby team (Pentyrch RFC Under 8s - soon to be Under 9s) One of our coaches got some great raffle prizes for us (a kicking session with Jonny Wilkinson) to raise money for our first tour next year.... I knew Raffall was an online raffle platform as I'd bought tickets on there previously, so I started setting up the raffle but wasn't enjoying the experience, it was a bit clunky... I google'd something like 'Raffall alternatives' and came across Raffaly - a new alternative with ✅ cheaper fees (great for charities where every penny counts!) ✅ guest checkout (making it much easier to buy raffle tickets - higher conversion and sales) Unfortunately I hit some stumbling blocks and page errors. I was on a hard deadline to get the raffle live as I was going on holiday the next day, so I put it live on Raffall but I emailed my bugs and feedback to Raffaly. The founder Liam Walder emailed me back the next day, he'd fixed all the bugs I'd found and thanked me for letting him know.... So, in summary: 1 - You might not have the desire, or time, to volunteer.... 2 - But you can still do good by helping new/small businesses grow by giving them free feedback on your experience and/or sharing them with others - Kindness helps the world go round! 3 - if you'd like to buy raffle tickets to support our team I'd be super grateful (link in original post that I've shared!) #VolunteersWeek #NationalVolunteersWeek #Raffle #RugbyIsLife #RugbyFamily ________________________________________________________________ I'm Heledd and I offer: 🤩 Fractional and Interim Marketing Leadership and Support 🤩 Marketing auditing and consultancy, especially on the Digital Marketing Side 🤩 Training, coaching and mentoring
https://lnkd.in/eJejXY2a We are raising funds for Pentyrch (soon to be) U9s and their first rugby tour this year. As a proud coach of this fabulous bunch of kids, I would like to thank Attivo and Stephen Harper for the support with our fund raising and the generous donations of raffle prizes. If anyone can spare £2.50 for a ticket, us coaches can give all the rugby mums and dads in Pentyrch a night off while we take the guys and girls on tour!
