Mortgage rates rise for fifth straight week https://lnkd.in/eAjg6zgM Again, the media makes too big a deal over 0.5% change in the 30-year mortgage interest rate when there are so many other factors associated with the total cost of purchasing a personal residence. Mortgage interest rate can be reduced by seller concessions, lenders can provide incentives, and home prices in areas with job growth will continue to appreciate in value. Finally, it rates drop below 6% the homeowner can refinance the loan.
