https://lnkd.in/ePB7gddY Just like whenever you see newspapers attempting to break down and 'translate' politicians' speeches, I did enjoy seeing this group of people demonstrating how the Disney CEO is saying one thing in order NOT to say another thing! 😜 You really CAN argue, "you're spending HOW much, here?!" Not ALL great, emotionally powerful stories have to be GIGANTIC and VAST in scope with THOUSANDS of characters (only Disney and Pixar's films have had a $180m+ budget)! 💰 https://lnkd.in/eH2wJrAZ But some fans could argue - they're spending that much money not just on pushing the latest technology (only such that can help with the story), but because of the idea that people will continue to be watching and admiring these films decades from now, being in it for the long game - quite like the history of theatrically re-releasing Fantasia down the decades, originally a box office flop! 💭 I love seeing the moderator using Walt Disney's own words against Bob Iger, highlighting how much Disney is continuing to go down the path of sequels (especially for Disney Animation), in effect against Walt's wishes! I always thought that the studio name is the publicly recognisable brand, and that alone meant you were able to take risks and tell new, different stories! 🙂 #animationindustry #risktaking #creativity #IP #branding

The Power of Focused Action As we gear up for the week ahead, take a moment to reflect on the goals you’ve been putting off. Whether it’s launching a new product, reaching out to potential clients, or perfecting your pitch—*set one clear goal* for the week. The story of Walt Disney is a great example of the power of focused action. After several business failures, Disney set a goal to create a new kind of animated movie. Everyone doubted him, but he stayed focused, and in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs became the first full-length animated feature, changing the entertainment industry forever. This Sunday, set your sights high, but stay focused on one task at a time. Each small step brings you closer to your dream. What’s your goal for the week? #SetYourGoalsSunday #FocusOnYourGoals #EntrepreneurMindset #DreamBig #InnonxtVentures

Did you know about the Sodium Vapor Process? It was developed in the 60s by Disney Studios. It's a visual effects technique that allows for much more precise integration of filmed actors with painted or animated backgrounds compared to the green or blue screen techniques used previously. 🎥 #FilmProduction #FilmMaking #Production #Creativity #SpecialEffects #MakingOff

Incoming cash instantly went for investment in new technology and better artists. 8. Disney, to outpace his competitors, forced the pace. 9. Walt Disney planned his whole future… He used a powerful tool that I use at times. In 1957, he drew a blueprint of what he imagined his media empire would be. Today, Disney is a colossal and diverse global entertainment powerhouse. But back then, it was a figment of what it is today. No more than just a few feature films… The act of thinking, and drawing made the dream much more concrete. It gave him a blueprint to follow. So, here’s what I recommend. Sit down once a month and sketch out your plans. Take yourself out of your business, and your day-to-day busy-ness. Create room to think. And draw out the most ambitious plans you can think of. You’ll be surprised what you can achieve over decades of hard work… --- Get more strategies for long-term vision in my weekly newsletter: https://lnkd.in/gbWNVXja
